While discussing fast fashion, most people seem to be inclined to regard it as a plague, an issue to be resolved. However, this coin too has a flipside. In third-world countries in general, and Bangladesh in particular, textile factories and mills provide employment to millions. Due to the saturated job markets in overpopulated countries, these are often the only jobs available.
Workers, often underpaid, designers, middlemen: a lot of livelihoods depend uupoupo this industry.

While textile waste and pollution is a serious problem, forcibly shutting down or banning fast fashion is certainly not the solution. Do we, as privileged members of the society who will not be greatly affected by such a change, have any right to rob these people of their livelihoods?

Hence, what can be the solution? A compromise is required, but who should be allowed to suffer: Mother Nature, or millions of innocents?
