Space;This is the region beyond the Earth's atmosphere or beyond the solar system.Study of the use of rockets for spaceflight began early in the 20th century and we saw USA and Soviet Union launch their satellites in the 1950s having competed in the "space race." Little did they know that they are beginning a new chapter for humanity,now in the modern world,countries have adapted to the use of astronomy and space technology to explore outer space and exploration of space is not only carried out by astronomers with telescopes but it's also done physically conducted both by uncrewed robotic space probes and human spaceflight,now space exploration is the main source of space science.
For us humans,space exploration has become the most idealistic way for us to explore more about our Galaxy and universe and also to make plans for the future of humanity "Life Beyond Earth ''. Through exploration we are able to visualize the mysteries.of space such as the different planets, stars,origin of Earth and our place in the Universe,Moons and the phenomena such as zero gravity. All these are breathtaking scenes that at least everyone deserves to see before they die.However,space exploration has turned out to be one of the most expensive activities in the world,we even had a discussion of "Money,money,Money" and we saw that Richard Branson was taking tourists to space,to get on Mr Branson’s rocket plane,people paid around $450,000 per ticket and realistically this is too much money and that's why my friends call space exploration "a rich man's playground,a poor man's day dream." Simply because they can't afford to pay such huge amounts of money as they don't think it's worth it and that where the big question comes in;
IS SPACE EXPLORATION WORTH THE MONEY,TIME AND EFFORT PUT IN IT??
Well a quote from Goethe says: “If you want to reach the infinite, then explore every aspect of the finite.” According to https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space_exploration ``common rationales for exploring space include advancing scientific research, national prestige, uniting different nations, ensuring the future survival of humanity, and developing military and strategic advantages against other countries."To integrate or elaborate more on this,I totally agree with that because space exploration has indeed lived up it's expectations for example;
1.Advancing scientific research; thalesgroup.com says "Space exploration allows us to prove or disprove scientific theories developed on Earth. Studying the solar system, for example, has brought us insights into such phenomena as gravity, the magnetosphere, the atmosphere, fluid dynamics and the geological evolution of other planets." In more basic form,I think we are able to understand how we remain on the ground and how things thrown up are pressed back to the ground (gravity)
2.National prestige;The early era of space exploration was driven by a "Space Race" between the Soviet Union and the United States,up to now this has remained in their history and it's a record on them,likewise,any space inventions and discovers bring prestige to the person who has discovered it for example Neil Armstrong will never be forgotten having been the first person to walk on the moon.Actually,such inventions and discovers such as walking on the moon are inspirations for young people to take up Astronomy courses in the future so as to carry on the legacy of the olden in space exploration.
3.Uniting different nations;Over the years, scientist from different countries specializing in biology,physics or chemistry have been working together towards the same goal of discovering life outside earth.We have also seen countries work together putting their disputes aside for example Russia and USA working together at the space station which I think has contributed to world peace.
Furthermore,space exploration is looked upon in regards to the future of humankind because scientists through space exploration are trying to find life elsewhere and inhabitable planets for us with earth dying slowly due to all the pollution and degradation of natural resources like the oceans,space might be our only future.
Away from that, through space exploration several discoveries and inventions are have been came across froexample use of solar energy to work machines and produce electricity,enriched baby formula that has helped save babies lives and statellite navigation whereby our communication has been enhanced because to build a statellite,you need knowledge of space.Not forgetting one the biggest help from space innovation the "artificial limbs" these have enabled people with disabilities like missing arms,legs to get around more easily.I think space innovation are still solving many problems of our society, I even have a feeling that some day,someone might figure out the mystery "TIME TRAVEL"when that time comes I will be the most excited person about it.I actually have alot of faith and believe in space exploration.
With space proving to be a big key to solving many mystery of our timeline,I strongly believe in the space future an life outside space.
In a nutshell,SPACE EXPLORATION is worthy of whatever is put in it be it money,time or effort because like the quote of “If you want to reach the infinite, then explore every aspect of the finite.” I also believe if we are to find life elsewhere,space exploration is are main weapon.
