Written standpoint on AI

The world we know it is always rapidly changing and the primary way that it is changing is through AI, the way that it shapes and changes the way we work and lead our lives could be seen as phenomenal, but the question we have to ask ourselves is what are the drawbacks, the implications even.

The Question that if first want to answer is what are the consequences if some people have AI and others do not, the answer is simple, inequality in society will skyrocket tremendously. AI is a tremendously powerful tool capable of enhanced efficiency and innovation, if only the elite could use AI it would create a digital divide between people making those who are not wealthy fall behind with small businesses struggling to fight back against their corporate overlords who are able to use this innovative and efficient technology to their advantage.

The second question of if AI will do more harm than good, AI is a tool, like all tools it has the capability to good or bad, AI is not inherently evil or inherently good, its actions is the intentions of the person wielding it. AI can be used for good by optimising efficiency, reducing waste and more, but it can be bad if it is used to replace jobs, spread misinformation or if it uses too much data which effects the environment. The call for a government that uses AI ethically is needed now more than ever, we need this to make sure that AI does not fall into the wrong hands where it could be used as a weapon for mass chaos and disorder.

My Last point of if everyone should be able to use AI, I believe that the answer is Yes, however for this there needs to be responsibility, accountability and consequences. AI should not be something that is restricted to a certain class or group of people, Artificial Intelligence should be for everyone regardless of who they are. However the use of AI should come with consequences as we do not fully understand the power that is in this technology. Just as we regulate things like medicine we should all have access to AI to make a fair, just and sustainable society that empowers and drives us to be better.

In conclusion AI should not be restricted to anyone, it is neither good or Bad and is a technology that should be guided towards sustainability and fairness all for the benefit of mankind and for a better society for future generations.
