Will we ever stop using animals for work?

Some people think that we might one day use robots to do the jobs that animals currently do for us.
Some also think that as people become more aware of animals' rights, using animals for work might become against the law.
However, others might argue that robots could never do the jobs of animals and that it is possible to use animals for work whilst respecting their rights.
So what do you think?

No we might never stop using animals for work, look at it from this perspective if we start using robots we all know at first the use of them will be expensive and people will not want to buy the robots also robots use artificial intelligence they should be smart enough to not want to be laboured. What do you think
Totally agree with you champion_elephant's, and if that happened then only millionares and richest people will have access for them widning more the financial gap between people.
hello champion_elephant, you make a good point on the expensiveness of robots. However, you do say "robots use Artificial intelligence so they should be smart enough to not want to be laboured". Do you have any evidence to support this claim? Can you do a little bit of research on how A.I works? Perhaps, human beings might have a hand in programming how robots work?
We all know how people say one day the robots will rule everything. It seems stupid but ever thought about how with their artificial intelligence they can over run their programmes
Hello @champion_elephant. You make a good point on acknowledging how Robots with its accompanied A.I could overrun their own programmes. However, could that issue not be ascribed to human errors in programming these robots ? Can you do further search on Robots malfunctioning ? Perhaps human beings still have critical role in shaping how on robots work effectively in the future.
Sadly we cannot blame humans for their incompetence and lack of knowledge I mean its a little ridiculous do you not think they are programmed to work, take care of humans and keep them safe yet there is always some type of loop hole that allows them to malfunction I in no doubt see it as the humans fault, robots programmed to be void of emotion and have one purpose serve and serve alone starts feeling joy, anger, sadness and humans in our ignorance just let them be until they are beyond control.

Yes and we should . First, let's skip that it causes harm to an animal, which is a soul, and this alone is a crime , in my point of view, there is physiological difference between humans and other animals so the results from animal tests cannot be accurately extrapolated to humans, leaving us vulnerable to exposure to drugs that can cause serious side effects. Drugs that sicken or kill animals don't always prevent a drug from being marketed. Moreover, undoubtedly there are some people who are not convinced by the idea of robots so scientists and engineers at Harvard University's Wyss Institute have created "organs on a chip" and researchers at Cellasys in Germany have developed a skin on a chip. These tiny devices contain human cells in a three-dimensional system that mimics human organs. Microchips can be used instead of animals for laboratory disease research and drug testing. However, simulations in silicon and microdoses are other non-animal research methods , and this is so beneficial technologies can eliminate using animals for work.

Would you stop using animals at work
My answer is, I am not sure, because no human being can dispense with the use of animals at work unless he respects their rights and provides them with all they need of water, food, comfort and others.
14 Apr 2022
My answer is Yes
I said this because Because we see animals in the final and obedient image, and we do not realize what punishment and torment they will meet and break their will to become obedient in the future, we must know the nature of the violence that these animals are subjected to when training them, we see monkeys in the circus walking on ropes and also lions jumping from a ring Fire, all of this is an evil that threatens the rights of animals, and we cannot ignore this right, which I believe is the greatest challenge facing humanity.
14 Apr 2022
We do not stop using animals at work. Animals have a great role in the work they need, for example, the police dog is used to search for certain things, but the chosen animal must not suffer from any disease so as not to spread the infection to others, and it must be trained and not savage and treat this animal that Use it well.
I disagree with imaginative_world’s because dogs are not being tortured by this , and biologically dogs have the ability to detect the smell of anything or anyone from far places . But the real issue we need to talk about is that numerous animals are being tortured under scientific tests and cosmetic ones which cause them harm, illness and even death , as for rabbits . Furthermore, we should put those animals in the first place where if it’s possible to go these tests on plants then it’s the best option , but at the same time we should take under consideration that every plant we take a thousand is planted .

My answer is no. I said this because progress in developing countries is very weak because of the delay in technology. They will not be able to stop or dispense with the use of animals for work because they do not have the modern, advanced equipment. But in developing countries, animals help them in their profession to earn their living, as it is their source of livelihood, whether they help them in plowing the land Or guarding the place or protecting sheep and other tasks that animals can do as they need them to work because there are works that are difficult for a person to perform because he does not have the ability to lift heavy weights and plow the land for cultivation, and animals have many advantages, including strength and loyalty to their owners.

In fact, it is possible to replace animals with robots...
It is wonderful, there are many endangered animals around us day after day, and it is nice to conduct studies on animals and program robots to do their work
Thus, the threat of extinction of these animals may decrease, in addition, they will be more known and present in different places around the world. But there is a point in this subject that caught my attention... If animals are actually replaced by robots, how will the world study the developments that occur in animals with the progression of time, and will what will happen that will give animals rights as well as humans, so that they become a place in the people who must be fed and cared for And taking care of her health??
14 Apr 2022
There are two types of people who think that robots can replace animals in their work, and there are the other types of people who do not believe that there is an alternative to the work of animals
Animals are important and they are not represented in human health in a large way, but the use of animals is intended to develop veterinary treatments and techniques. Also, animals are used in safety tests for consumer products and for their activities such as cosmetics. They are also used in cleaning products, but there are rights for animals that cannot be violated and taken into account with animals because humans It has become very harmful to animals. Human nature is a great destroyer of the environment. There are scenes of torture of animals by humans. Man must respect the rights of animals and not violate them, because they are an animal on this earth.
14 Apr 2022
Will we stop using animals for work? no ; Because some developing countries cannot buy or create robots to help them work instead of animals. In the beginning, it would be expensive to use it and people wouldn't want to buy robots, and robots could never do the jobs of animals and that it was possible to use animals to work while respecting their rights, like farming and harvesting robots couldn't do.
14 Apr 2022
My answer is... I'm not sure
I have said this because Firstly, we need animal's because they can help us by carrying thing's and most importantly, they each have a skill. If we didn't have animal's we wouldn't have food and we could have no heavy animals to carry things. Sometime's we don't need animals because we're human's and we can do our own things but sometimes also we need animals for helpful things, for example, cockroaches find you in collapsed building's. Also, animals should be treated as fair as us. Overall, I think we will carry on using animals because they are useful to us.
15 Apr 2022
I do not think that robots will take the work of animals in the future, although they will be able to do their work, perhaps more accurately, but they will not be able to add to this work fun and kindness, as well as creativity. And suspense, as did the animals. Works with animals always attract me, because they always make me feel fun, like "movies". In the end, a robot is a machine that I don't feel would attract me.
15 Apr 2022
I think its not possible to stop using animals for work like the cyber roaches we are talking about are really helpful another example is walking dogs that assist people without sight in walking. They are used but their rights are also respected regardless of what they do like the walking dog is definitely fed, taken for checkup and does other things to keep it fit.
Thanks for your comment incredible_trumpet, that's an interesting point. Do you think it will ever be possible for robots to do the jobs of animals such as guide dogs?
Yes it would but then the individual with the disability would have to learn to operate which is stress.
15 Apr 2022
Humans, animals and all living creatures are important elements in the environment, and no creature can be dispensed with in life, otherwise the food chain will disintegrate, leading to the extinction of life. The scientist Einstein said, "When the bees disappear, after three years, man will disappear, that is, all life."
My words may seem off-topic, but I think that in essence, the role of animals is completely irreplaceable with robots. The role of animals at work can be reduced and people can be helped to treat animals well, thus preserving animal rights.
_ In addition to the fact that robots degrade and consume, and when they are thrown into waste, they harm the environment, while animals, when they die, decompose and benefit the environment. In the end, everyone who uses the animal at work must be gentle with it.
15 Apr 2022
I think we should not stop using animals for work because it will be good for both the animal and the human being
It will be beneficial to the animal, as it cannot always obtain food. If it works for a person, he is obliged to feed the animal lest it die and help the animal to reproduce.
It will be useful to humans, as humans in the modern era need animals for many purposes, including helping to work for people with little income, cows for plowing the land or for milk.
Chickens either for eggs or to eat their meat.
And often we use animals to entertain ourselves, for example, a dog is used for guarding, and we can play with it. The dog never harms its owners.
The cat prevents the presence of mice and we can play with it and it is said that it relieves depression significantly.
Since we don't need robots, why waste our time and money?
15 Apr 2022
My answer is No
I said this because mice are used to try on them the inventions made by inventors, so we cannot dispense with mice and use robots, because the composition of the mouse's body is different from robots, and another example of dogs used by the police we cannot stop them from working and use robots instead, because the dog God gave him a strong sense, and this sense helps the police to finish their work early, so we can't replace it with robots.
Great points compassionate_bassoon. Do you think in the future technology will be advanced enough to create a robot that can mimic a dog's strong sense of smell?
15 Apr 2022
I am not sure as this technology path can fork in two routes. The first route would be that advanced technology would bring robots to the world where they would make all people's life much easier. Soon after, there would likely be more robots than the world's population. On the other hand, citizens could take no interest with this new product due to the exaggerated price. Everyone wants more money so they will likely set the product at a higher price knowing there will be a myriad of customers. This will only make the case worse as poverty is spread widely in the world leaving only the rich that would buy this robot. Therefore, many will stick to using animals for various tasks while others will have the time of their lives relaxing while their robot does the work.
15 Apr 2022
there is, will we stop using animals for work? I'm not sure; 1- Because Many developing countries can't buy robots to help them work instead of animals like our country uses animals for business and doesn't use robots because they are too expensive. 2- There are several countries that can buy or invent robots despite their cost, such as (China, Korea, Germany,
America, Britain, etc.) even robots are using
Artificial intelligence to help them work instead of animals that eat and drink every day, and this will save time and effort, whether for farms, or to carry out dangerous tasks that are difficult for humans to implement and that robots are used in several areas and this
It will make countries more use of robots such as:
(Going down to the depths of the sea for research and exploration, entering the operating room, making cars, traveling into space, etc.) All of these tasks are difficult
Animals have to do it. On the other hand, animals are not pure to the environment and also animals are vulnerable to extinction, but robots are pure to the environment and carry out tasks that are difficult for humans to implement and are not endangered, but I have watched a cartoon movie talking about robots they have made, but robots instead of helping them in dangerous work has reflected On humans they have completely from destroyed the environment, so I'm not sure my answer to this question. Thank you!
15 Apr 2022
In fact, it would be nice to use robots instead of animals, but animals are still better in many things, robots are expensive and animals are less expensive than them, and robots can break down and fix them takes a lot of money, but animals are much simpler to treat , Robots can get out of control, but animals are trained, and then if animals are not used for work, what can they be used for?! And it can also be compared from an emotional point of view, that animals have feelings. Like us, it might bother her leaving her with nothing to do.
15 Apr 2022
You chose an answer I'm not sure
Because despite the development of the world and despite the use of robots in people's work in the future
The world will not dispense with animals, for example, rich countries such as: America, Russia and Japan are able to manufacture or buy robots to work and dispense with animals such as: dogs,
But poor countries such as: India and Yemen will not be able to manufacture or buy a single robot to work and they cannot dispense with animals for work, and just as robots and artificial intelligence can pose a great danger to the world and may become an enemy of humans in the world, and a defect can occur in the data and installation of the robot And it becomes very dangerous and in the end can not do without all the animals.
15 Apr 2022
My curiosity sent me to go and do an interview with farmers and those who raise animals, and the result was that some of them said robots do not do the task of animals. I told him, give me an example. He told me, for example, that poultry lay eggs and we eat meat from them. Time cannot abandon them in the fields of life, and some said if robots were from the foot, they would have taken the job of animals such as plowing and other fields.
It's very interesting that you surveyed farmers about this question. Did you design a survey to do this or was it a more informal approach?
15 Apr 2022
My answer is No
I said this because Robots are expensive, and in areas that depend on traditional agriculture it is difficult for workers to buy them. Even if they buy robots, the costs of repairing them if they break down are very expensive. Therefore, animals remain the mainstay and do not need to pay many costs. In addition, robots are difficult to work with and program in developing rural areas
15 Apr 2022
Well, we can consider that the process of animal's work ending has already begun, by replacing animals with a lot of machines. let's take some examples, first, replacing homing pigeon by mobile phones as telephony has developed, furthermore the replacement of horses and camels in transportation by cars, even oxen's work nowadays is given to tillage trucks in plowing lands. Yes, our world is developing day by day, and it is good to mention that even animal's replacement in medical field is being studied as the alternatives in animal testing include sophisticated tests using human cells and tissues, advanced-modeling techniques, and studies with human volunteers.
15 Apr 2022
My answer is Yes
I said this because This is unfair. Just as we have rights, they also have rights. I know that you use them because they are small and you can photograph and do anything, but this is illegal and I do not stand with their decision. I love animals very much and pity them. My decision is that they do not use them, and I also hope that they respond to me and I hope this. Thank you.
16 Apr 2022
My answer is: Animals cannot be dispensed with by humans. They are a source of livelihood for many people. We do not forget that our ancestors lived in the past on these animals and facilitated their lives in agriculture, transportation and other things. People lived in the old days beautifully without a robot. As for the use of animals in work, this is a beautiful thing, but their use is reasonable. And in what does not harm animals or harm them, as for robots, they compensate for animals and humans, and among the achievements of robots, they ascended into space and descended into the deep seas, performed surgeries and entertainment, and performed household chores.
16 Apr 2022
In our current case, we use robots to carry out tasks that humans and animals are unable to perform..It is possible through urbanization and progress that they make animals work, but if their rights are respected and not harmed, this will be obedient and beautiful, but it will become a lot in our society and everyone uses them in many areas..instead of Use of robots...
16 Apr 2022
My answer is No
I said this because The human need and desire for life makes him depend on animals to help him. For example, rats play the largest role in the medical fields, and police dogs, for example, pursue criminals, and some can find bombs, and this matter was for humans a great danger, so no one will be able to abandon the idea that animals are a toolfor them
16 Apr 2022
My answer is No,
I said this because throughout centuries people used to test on animals to do biological experiments, find cures and test medicines, then robots can't occupy this animals' duty, they're just an artificial intelligence with no bloob. And since we share a lot of biological traits with some kinds of animals it makes it impossible to pass up on animal testing and putting them under work. Lastly, one can't deny the fact that generations and lives were saved because of animals even though scientists are going crazy and violant with animal testing.
17 Apr 2022
My answer is Yes
I said this because now that technology is developing greatly, many working people are going to be replaced by robots or other types of mechanics. This isn't fair on the workers because then, they lose their jobs to workers and will not earn any money that they live on. On the other hand, people might think that we need robots so that we can make things in a much quicker way. For example, if we had robots to make cars, it would mean that many more would be out for sale than ever before. If robots were to take over jobs, nobody would earn money of which need to survive.
17 Apr 2022
My answer is I'm not sure; 1- Because many developing countries can't buy robots to help them work instead of animals like our country which uses animals for business and doesn't use robots because they are expensive. 2- There are many countries that can buy or invent robots despite their cost, such as (China, Korea, Germany,
America, Britain, etc.) even robots are used
Artificial intelligence to help it work instead of animals that eat and drink every day, and this will save time and effort, whether for farms or to carry out dangerous tasks that are difficult for humans to implement, which uses robots in several fields.
17 Apr 2022
The second part of my comment
And that robots are used in several fields and this
It will make countries more users of robots such as:
(Going down to the depths of the sea for research and exploration, entering the operating room, making cars, traveling into space, etc.)
animals do. On the other hand, animals are not pure to the environment and also animals are subject to extinction, but robots are pure to the environment and perform tasks that are difficult for humans to perform and are not endangered, but I watched a cartoon movie talking about the robots they made, but the robots instead of helping them in dangerous work has reflected on the humans who They completely destroyed the environment, so I'm not sure about my answer to this question. Thank you!
18 Apr 2022
Will we stop using animals for work? no ; Because some developing countries cannot buy or create robots to help them work instead of animals. In the beginning, it would be expensive to use it and people wouldn't want to buy robots, and robots could never do the jobs of animals and that it was possible to use animals to work while respecting their rights, like farming and harvesting robots couldn't do.
18 Apr 2022
As we are going forward I think that animals will not be working again because ,there will be new technologies as time goes on,and there will be new device which will do the work of animals ,even at first people travelled with horses and donkeys but now a days there are cars, ships, aeroplane and all kind of transportation which makes travelling more faster and easier than animals ,and even I think there will be a law which will say that we should should respect animal right, so I don't think that animals are going to work as time goes on
18 Apr 2022
No, we will not stop using them because there are reasons claiming not to abandon animals in order to prevent extinction or perishment, because caring for animals is a barrier for them from extinction and using them in work fields to keep growing and growing before our eyes and to take care of them more and more and work helps them to move and be active.
18 Apr 2022
My answer is no.
I said this because robots do not think the same way as animals, which might prove them inadequate to replace an animal in their job. All robots are restricted to their programming, meaning they would not know what to do when they are in a situation that the robot's programme does not include, whilst animals can think around the problem. Also, if robots replace animals in work, some people might think animals would be now useless. Some of these people could be farmers who could kill their donkeys, because they can't work, are expensive to feed and take up space. This is why I think robots shouldn't replace animals in work.
19 Apr 2022
My answer is No
I said this because There are certain works that can be done by animals only... Such as we get milk from mammals for drinking amd this can't be replaced by anything else. We may never be able to stop the use pf animals for work but there are certain ways we could help them, such as not enslaving them but keep them with us like our family.... We can use them for work but we can give them care and love in return.. And it's all they want .
19 Apr 2022
I guess I don't have a specific point of view!
So I say:
1_Robots can never do the jobs of animals because robots don't have that complex nature that animals do!
For example: "Bees" bees are considered (the balancer of plants!), meaning that they have a major role in the growth of flowering fruits and produce honey, which is a good treatment for many diseases! And the robot is not able to make a bee because it does not have those complex organs or organs that bees have!
(Additional information: A bee pinch is enough to kill all cancer cells in the human body, according to biological studies!!)
2_ I think that robots can be relied upon for simple tasks!
For example: humans use some animals in agricultural work, in order to carry and pull carts that carry seeds and agricultural crops, and some animals are used in plowing agricultural lands, such as: donkeys, horses, and mules..!
Here I think we can rely on robots to perform tasks as well!
In addition, these tasks are "very tiring" and perhaps the animal will not always have much energy for hard work while the robot is able to do them with high energy..!
19 Apr 2022
My answer is No
I said this because we humans will still need horses as source of income in races, dogs are good with a great sense of smell and good eye sights will be used as guard/security animals. In my opinion even though technology has improved it can not beat natural instincts. In this regards, animals will always be a part of human daily activities.
19 Apr 2022
More than 99% of the four billion species that have evolved on Earth are now gone. No matter how simple or fond of they to the work, everyone loves to live a normal life AND working a specific job must not be a normal life for them for sure.
Why are we making them done the work? The same job can be done by a machine too. A machine maybe costly in normal life but let me remind you the phone you are using today on your palm has a storage of 16-256 GB where 280MB had a size of a room in 1960s.
Life is mortal where machine is made. Due to training or work purpose many animals overgo last breadth or separate from family or normal life. You may say they are getting better life and food here compared to the jungle or where they used to be. My question is Who has confessed this to you, the animal?
My stand is, we need a mindset where instead of investing money to train animals, we should invest our brain and money on Researching easier, affordable, acceptable, problem solving inventions. The result will be the same that is the work will be done, and many species will get few more time on her mother Earth.
19 Apr 2022
My answer is Yes

20 Apr 2022
My answer is No
I said this because animal dump is still the best organic manure that serves as fertilizer for our crops. People cannot stop using animals for their farm work because not every farmer can afford farm equipment or machines like tractors. People can not stop using animals to do a job because they are less expensive and faster than human beings. Animals like donkeys and horses can help us to carry our loads and luggage and help us when we are tired, they can even help to clear the grasses on a farmland. Due to this closeness between man and animals it will be difficult for humans to stop using animals to do work.
20 Apr 2022
My answer is Yes
I said this because the use of robots to do work is on the increase. Soon people will eradicate the use of animals to do work and employ robots to do the jobs. Although this technology is expensive to purchase and produce, not everyone can afford it. In my opinion, once the demand for robots increases the cost of producing new robots will decrease making it cost friendly for everyone to be able to afford a robot that will to help out to do work.
20 Apr 2022
It is possible that the proportion of animals used in labor decreased with the development of technology, for example in hard work like ancient farming, cows were used to plow the lands by attaching bars on them and pulling them by the farms, but with the development of technology, the cows were replaced by tractors, which reduced From cows effort, but in laboratories and biological experiments. Machines cannot be used to replace animals, because they are not a living organism and do not have a soul or organs inside them, but that does not mean that this idea is impossible because there are no limits to technology and anything can be expected with its development
20 Apr 2022
My answer is Yes
I said this because it is only acceptable when animal is able to participate in its natural habitat or in an environment that allows them carry out their natural life I feel animals are man’s best friends and cannot be left out in the lives of man. Animals are really handful in security situations and apprehending culprits of a case. Animal can be used in the entertainment industry to generate funds for their owners. Animals can be used for carrying loads from place to place.
20 Apr 2022
In my personal opinion over time animals will not be used for work, as like with humans, they could be replaced with robots. Robots are more efficient, don't need training, don't need feeding and will do as programmed to do. In business bosses will want the most cheapest and efficient method to make as much profit as possible. While robots are expensive to make over time we will find cheaper solutions to build and create robots. This has happened before, in the past horses were used as a wide method of transport used by all. But with the invention of the car in 1886 this all changed and horses were no longer as used.
21 Apr 2022
My answer is I'm not sure
I said this because there is a very strong connection between people and animals often times, people feel safe, happy and secured around most work animals. The presence or having these animals around is often a relieve and would help lower stress levels for the owners because the animals will help to carryout jobs that may be difficult for the owners to do. In as much as some works/jobs done by animals causes them pain and psychological trauma, I feel we can only limit the use of animals but we can not completely stop using animals for work.
22 Apr 2022
My answer is No
I said this because a lot of animals are useful to us in our daily lives and we need them to do work such as donkeys to carry heavy loads, cows for ploughing of land, camels and horses for transporting people, dogs as guards, tigers for entertainment, animals for detecting diseases like the African giant rat used in detecting tuberculosis etc. The African giant rat can also be used to detect land mines, these animals can cover much more ground than humans, one fact here is that detecting land mines is slow for humans. So in my opinion I don't think we will ever stop using animals for work.
22 Apr 2022
My answer is I'm not sure
I said this because animals do a lot for humans in the area of research from investigating potential treatment to disease conditions to testing for the use of drugs and other devices. I think using animals in research can be cruel and sometimes meaningless as what is observed in animals might not be the same in humans. Animals need to be protected from this form of cruelty as animals suffer and die every day in the laboratory from poisoning, burning etc.
23 Apr 2022
I agree with people who say that robots cannot perform the functions of animals and that some animals have to perform functions that a robot is not obligated to do, and also we say this about the animal only. And that they are the characteristics of animals. Animals were created to serve humans and the mind was created to make devices that have benefits for the animal. Also, there are some people who treat animals badly, and we have seen this thing in our lives, and this is a very, very, very wrong thing, and that the animal police should arrest anyone who uses violence with animals and that it Animal rights must be respected
26 Apr 2022
I said this because Because it is possible that the technological revolution will lead to the extinction of most living creatures, and this poses a great danger, as the services of animals cannot be dispensed with, as the benefit is on the life of animals and can be taken advantage of. Meat, fat and skin as well as their offal. And we see that in all cases we benefit from the presence of the animal
16 May 2022
I want to say something of animals in the Old Testament was Azloumh but now they are not oppressed and all this is thanks to the technology that invented robots, but to go back Kadimaa word robot word Chakih.otni work sarcasm and coercion do not forget the author Karel Capek, who was the first appearance of the robot was in a fictional story he helped in the work of robots. for me, the robots is oppressed because not have a sense they are based on artificial intelligence, but if the robots a sense shall be oppressed more than injustice animals are therefore robots that support us in life and objected to those who say that robots do not clog Ahtajatna
28 Jun 2022
My answer is I'm not sure
I said this because I don't think we will be able to invent something which does the job of all animals.
28 Jun 2022
yes they do
