The Monday Challenge!

Some experts predict that this war could lead to more than 4 million Ukrainian people leaving their country to live somewhere else. Most refugees arrived in the countries that share a border with Ukraine: Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Moldova, Russia, and Belarus. Many other countries across Europe are also welcoming refugees from Ukraine.

Your challenge:

Suggest ONE thing a country could do to help refugees from Ukraine feel welcome and settled.

Your idea could be...

  • something that the government could do
  • something that businesses could do
  • something that schools could do

Try to think of an actual organised idea that can be set up by a group of people and might last several months. And say why it would be a good idea!

For example:
For example, the UK Government has set up Homes for Ukraine - providing £350 a month for those who give up a room in their home.
The government of Wales has offered free train travel for Ukrainian refugees.
In Poland, vehicle hire firm Panek has donated 1,000 rental cars to transport people into Poland from the border.

    1. Having a close family can make all the difference for people trying to adjust to a different life and culture, often while recovering from deep trauma. Governments have an obligation to allow refugees to join their families who are already settled abroad by reuniting those families. In war, when the family reunites, they feel some security and reassurance.2.For many refugees, having a job is a very important solution to their problems; Because, in addition to securing their livelihood and providing for their families, it would help them gain self-respect, independence and integration into a new society. There are many countries that give refugees work permits. Companies can provide work visas to refugees who have certain skills, as well as training and work experience, which can entice refugees to live in safety, stability and comfort, facilitating their way of life and calming them.

Yes, that's great. They should meet with their families to feel safe. But don't you think when you said get a job, would their careers be stable in this situation? I do not think so because they are not secure and psychologically unprepared for work and they are far from their families.

Governments can exploit the agricultural lands that do not benefit from them by constructing buildings and towers that house these Ukrainian refugees and have several floors in order to accommodate them and form an area designated for them thus, they were able to make use of the empty spaces and at the same time made it a shelter for Ukrainian refugees, but at the time of construction, the indigenous people could make campaigns to donate money, clothes, or anything that the refugees could benefit from or it is possible to make small projects, profit from them, we give to the bodies responsible for donations, and in this way, we can collect donations quickly, and in terms of education, unemployed teachers or specialists can teach subjects to make a place designated for education and for the government to compensate and reward them so that at this time the children and youth can benefit and complete their education without any disabilities.

I will speak based on my experience
The rest of the refugees will not be complete until they return to their country. It is possible for the countries of the world to help them and make them feel safe by standing with them, encouraging them and providing them with the supplies necessary for victory.
It is possible for governments to provide education and health facilities for refugees, receive Ukrainian refugees in homes, and provide them with all the necessary requirements for life.
Such as providing job opportunities, fulfilling their food needs, and providing assistance to those who are unable to work.
    Hospitals:
    Receiving and treating war casualties
    Schools and universities:
Receiving all male and female students to complete the educational process.
    Factories:
    Supply from food production.
    Companies:
Employing the largest number of refugees.

Something the government can do is give them homes so that they don't stay in the streets and think that they are not welcome in the country. And companies have a job to settle in houses because the government will not keep renting houses without rent for a long time. And schools in order to complete an education, because everyone knows that education is an important part in human life, and in order not to remain ignorant, not knowing how to write or read. This was from my point of view of things, but I think that everyone has a different view of this issue.

Actually the hoasting countries can do alot to support the Ukrainian refugees. For example, they can offer then free school payments for their children to encourage their educational journey. It can also offer them free taxes on work and bussieness works to support their careers. Bussienessmen can offer refugees job vacancies to empower them financially and make it easy for them to get money to live in their countries.

I think neighboring countries should provide refugees with many things like clothes , shelters and necessary care . Also government institutions should help refugees to settle down , provide them with healthy food and warmth , because this is a human right . I think the country that receives them should be fair , Sympathetic and raise funds in order to help them .They should provide appropriate treatment
for health diseases to save their lives. Granting them visas to a country where they can obtain insurance .The universities and schools should also be opened to them , that they can feel with peace and security . I think it's available in the countries that will support them if they want to . They have the honor if they do that .👍

I think the neighboring countries to provide study opportunities for those children who have left their country, Ukraine, so that they can continue their education without interruption. They can distribute Ukrainian students to all schools and all classes to balance the number of students in the class and not create pressure in the same class Citizen students should also be reminded not to harass immigrant students from their country of Ukraine so that he can study well and make friends from one country to another.
This would be a good idea because Ukrainian children will be distracted from the tragedy that occurs in their country, even a little. They will be busy with their duties and entertain themselves if the schools make the recreational trip for the students and to complete their educational path in their lives, and also because the curriculum differs from one country to another, they can gain information from another curriculum

Refugees should feel settled and safe, even if they live in a country other than their home country, and there's a lot of things that could help them feel like that, (I'll talk about how they would possibly feel settled financially and mentally!):
1- how YOU could help; we start from here, from ourselves! If you have refugees in your country, you should treat them nicely and equally. Also, tell the people around you about how they should respect refugees. (They may not accept your advice, but atleast you tried! That's what important.) , You can also share in donation if available, to help refugees financially!
2- how families could help; it's basically about awaring little kids about it, so they would also treat refugees they meet (possibly at school) nicely. Which will make refugee kids more comfortable.
3- how citizens could help; they might go on movements to support refugees,or even post things on social media, and that will probably make other people and the government aware so they could take a step further.
4- how government could help; the government is appearntly the basis of the country, so they could do a lot of things, like affording refugees houses ,and money from time to other, so refugees could get their basic needs.
4- how businesses could help; that's by treating people equally, and hiring people who deserves even if they're refugees, that'll help refugees get money their own without needing to take money from the host country as "donations".
5- how schools could help; that's by awaring the kids about refugees, and also they can give refugee kids free education, because their financial condition is probably bad because of the sudden change in their family life.

Countries must help refugees and provide assistance to them with the aim that they are in need and their role at this time is to provide them with a home and shelter and help them with their private and public needs. They also need to teach them through a wonderful education sytem whicj they can benefit from them in many things, and they must pave the way for them them to join universities, help them, and provide work for them to benefit in the future.

In my opinion, the country that receives the refugees can provide them with jobs, so that they can bring money for themselves and spend in their needs, so that they will not be offended. However, the government must provide them with free or cheap houses, to settle in, and meet their own needs, as well as receive their children in their schools without paying school fees (free education), support them in school broadcasts through songs and clowns, and teach them useful sciences and social culture, they must We make them feel that they are in their own country and not strangers, and that they are safe now.

The country can create certain programs that aim at stress release. The social institutions can also serve psychologists, and councellors for children or women who got harmed from the war. The can schools can also engage the children in post_war activities that entertain them and help them forget their misery and tragedy!

When refugees migrate to a country other than their own, they are without shelter and feel fear and hunger. Therefore, it is imperative for the country to which they have migrated to provide housing for refugees from camps and homes, to provide basic foodstuffs and to provide health services. The state must also provide aid to all refugees without exception, and the minimum standards of treatment must be adhered to. To the refugees, who, in turn, have certain duties towards the country that hosts them, and the most important thing is to spread familiarity and love between the refugees and the country’s original inhabitants. As for companies, they must provide assistance from their products, for example, food companies provide food for refugees, pharmaceutical companies provide first aid boxes and medicines, and clothing companies provide them with clothes that protect them from heat and cold.Just as schools should receive refugee students in their classes so that they learn, because science is the weapon that will liberate their country in the future and bring them back to it. Teachers must also spread the spirit of love and cooperation between refugee students and citizen students and not differentiate between them in treatment.

This is because the villagers(refugees) do not understand the languages of the volunteers that go to the camp to help them so also most of them are not learned so the volunteers do their best to see that the children and other people interested in learning remain in school.

There is no doubt the neighbouring countries can present prescious help for the refugees of Ukraine. For instance, the government can build special camps or compounds for the refugees to help them find a suitable accomodation for their families. In addition to that, the Ministry of work and socails affairs or imigration can manage to design institutions or organaizations that support the refugees affairs. Bussienessmen can also donate for those refugees through formal channels to enable them ensure what they need including their properties. Reagrding schools, the government had two options either build special schools for refugees or make it easy to engage the students of refugees in normal schools but introduce to them special programms that enable them overcome their conflicts or the negtive energy they gain after the destructive war in their original country Ukraine.

    Welcome!

    (Something schools can do!!)
In my opinion, (Poland) is the closest country to A Coruña, so you should help and sympathize with Ukrainian refugees..!
What is the role of schools?!
Well, I think that every public school in Poland is able to include a group of refugees to ensure their education and to provide several simple things such as (school uniforms, necessary books, study tools..!)

But I have an additional thing I would like to say, which is (What do we do about the refugees so that they feel safe and that they are not strangers??!)
I think in my opinion we can help the refugees to integrate

1_take them on a tour of the city, and offer them activities such as watching football together or having dinner.

2_We can also help refugees find work, where we can hire a refugee, support a refugee-owned business, provide training or volunteer opportunities for refugees.

3_And of course we must be supporters and advocates, join a campaign to spread awareness of refugee issues and show solidarity with them.

    4_Allow people to study
Universities and schools can provide visas for refugees to start or continue their studies in another country. Such an opportunity can turn people's lives upside down by completing their education, integrating, earning a living and contributing to society.

    5_Family reunion
Having a close family can make all the difference for people trying to adjust to a different life and culture, often while recovering from deep trauma. Governments have an obligation to allow refugees to join family members already settled abroad through family reunification.

Perhaps these things will make him feel a sense of belonging and comfort to the country in which he has sought refuge...!

I think they could provide English classes where applicable, set peer support groups for the refugees and also send in teachers who are well trained.
This would be a good idea because sometimes these children in the refugee camp might not be able to speak English, so providing English classes will help them become more acquainted with the host country and the happenings in the country. The peer support group can also help the children both in academics and even in sports. Teachers can also help by spending extra time to put the children through. A good relationship with a teacher can provide a helpful personal bond between the children and the teacher, this bond will help the children becomes less burdened by the effects of being a refugee.

Something i think would help is; offering therapists to refugees, especially kids!
We all know that every single situation effects people's mental health in some way.
And those kids went through war, and got out of their country which was a big and fast change on their lives.
These situations are traumatic, and will stay stuck on kids souls when they grow up, but healed scars are better than open ones, am i right? (I mean emotional scars by the way)
So, offering therapy for refugee kids is really important, so they could be mentally stable, and if not, at least they would be "less effected". And it'll definitely help them feel settled and safe!
**Note: adults mental health is important too of course! But i choose to talk about kids because they're the main victims of wars.

        Tom @ Topical Talk's comment 22 Mar 2022

There are a lot of challenges of course, but every problem has a solution.
        Let's take what you said (language) as an example;
1- they might solve this by hiring therapists that can speak Ukrainian. (Bilingual or multilingual therapists)
2- And there might be a shared language (mostly english because it's the most common language), they can do this if there's no Ukrainian-speakers therapists ( you might think that kids won't know how to speak english, and that might be true, but there's kids who's 10~17 that can "at least" speak basic english.)
3- you can also hire a translator, so they can be a jointer between the therapist and the kid – might be a little uncomfortable for the kid, but you have to work with what you got, i guess.

There's other struggles of course, such as: the donation money isn't enough to get a therapist, the kid's family mindset doesn't think therapy is a good idea, the kid refuse to talk about their problems for some reasons, etc.
And they all have sulotions, you just have to think well, and out of the box sometimes! You'll definitely find the way, i say this because i think that problems exist to be solved.

The government can help refugees feel welcome and stable first by using technology
A smartphone can be a lifeline for a person if they have to leave everything behind, lose contact with friends and relatives, or try to find their way to a new country. Amnesty International recently found that one of the most important issues refugees search for online is information about their situation and the solutions available to them. Many tech groups are responding to that need by proposing innovative projects ranging from online language learning brochures, smartphone recycling, and starting refugee businesses.
Second, granting work visas or providing jobs
For many refugees, getting a job is a very important solution to their problems; Because, in addition to securing their livelihood and providing for their families, it would help them gain self-respect, independence and integration into a new society. There are many countries that give refugees work permits. Companies can provide work visas to refugees with specific skills, as well as training

It is also nice to give refugees homes that are not on the borders, but towers can be built with the help of the state or institutions for refugees, so that they do not feel as inferior or strange . Frankly, we as Palestinians are considered refugees , because we were forcibly displaced from our land in 1948. As the saying goes, “Ask an experienced person and do not ask a doctor.” So I asked my grandfather, what was the most important thing that would have helped the Palestinians when the neighboring countries (Jordan, Lebanon and Syria) welcomed them when they were expelled from their land? He said , " The most important thing that a person lacks is housing. As long as a human has a shelter from the cold of winter and the heat of summer, he is fine, then (nutrition) comes". The person needs food to be able to live... So sister countries can provide a simple housing that meets the needs of refugees and food aid. And that is through the donations of people or institutions such as "UNRWA".

ideas for government. 1- Which I think can accept refugees without bureaucratic complications, and this thing will make the refugees feel comfortable and belong to the country in which they have taken refuge 2- That the government should hold a meeting with the countries that allow refugees to enter their country by not expelling them after 90 days or 3 years from their country because Countries that will determine the number of refugees who can severe! Things that schools can do! 1-help those who wish to
Receiving them 3- The government can restore the refugees (settlement) again, as this will make them feel the most comfortable and happy.
Schools by teaching them the languages of the state, 2- Opening classrooms for children so that parents can do what they need. 3- They must be
teachers with effective communication with children,
To be integrated into the ranks!

My idea is for social media:
1- The social media has to take aplace at this crisis, not just by spreading the news of the war but by helping the refugees.
Influencers for example, alot of  them have millions of Subscribers on their platforms : Facebook, Instagram and YouTube, In fact, they have a big power and they can influence their followers by donating and helping refugees with whatever they can or have.
2- Establishing online accounts, groups or apps may be, that are particularly found to help ( women &children) refugees and to to get the support thet they need.
I think the two previous ideas are very good, because they will save a lot of time for refugees by getting their basic needs in a quicker and easier way .

    One more idea: For Government:
I think that the most important thing for refugees is that the host country gives them new personal identities instead of the ones they lost in the war, or anything that can prove their identity, or any official papers required to prove their legal presence in the country. It would make it easier for refugees in their life dealings, such as residence, entering schools and universities, seeking treatment, traveling, etc

        Tom @ Topical Talk's comment 22 Mar 2022

Of course, they should keep their original names, details, ect.
And  these official documents belong to the host country. This may make it easier for them and the host country to do many things... if they have to live at this country for a long time and if the country wants to know the exact number of refugees. The situation of Ukrainian refugees is the same as us Palestinian refugees. If we want to travel and transit through the Erez Crossing, you must obtain an official Israeli permit to approve your travel

And if you allow me to add one last point that with 4 million Ukrainian refugees have fled their country so far from the Russian invasion and that, God forbid, if Russia occupied Ukraine. It is possible to establish a support institution for refugee children that includes a public park, entertainment, and education services, in which the workers speak the Ukrainian language, to relieve them of the pain they have experienced and the difficult war that forced them to live a life that no child deserves.

As for families..... Families from neighboring countries can adopt Ukrainian refugee families , thay can decide for example, to live together in the same house.... I think this will strengthen social bonds and the Children, whether refugees or recipients , will make wonderful friendships together, instead of being alone.... also This will help Ukrainian families to acquire the language of the receiving country. Thus, we have hit two birds with one stone, the first: making friends, and the second: acquiring language.

My idea is for both schools and government because they will have to work together. I think that the government of the coutries that the Ukrainian refugees would go to should be able to pay a little amount of money to schools so that they can admit the refugees into the schools to allow them catch up on all thy might have missed due to the war. And for the refugees that may be suffering from some forms of trauma, the schools should organize programs, therapy sessions and conferences to be a safe haven for the refugees so that they can talk about their feelings and be assured that everything would be alright. Also, fellow students should interact with the refugees and make them feel welcome and loved to feel better because people feel better around their peers.

    My idea is for Individuals
I think they could all come together, discuss, raise funds and build shelters for the refugees, they can also give them money to buy the things they need. These group of individuals from different professions can volunteer their time to be teachers, they can teach them how to speak their language so they will be able to communicate with the people in the host countries. The individuals can also discuss with them about the food they use to eat in their countries so they can help produce them. Individuals that own one or more companies can employ the refugees and give them jobs so they can earn some money. The doctors can come around to attend to them and carry out a health check on the refugees.
This would be a good idea because individuals will help drive the process faster, individuals can also help the refugee settle in faster.

Governments could assist the refugees from Ukraine in several ways one of which I think is in the educational sector, it may only traditional for there to be free education in countries but my idea is that Ukrainian refugees be given free education, food to eat and shelters to live under, hotel owners could give off spaces in their hotel rooms to these refugees, the government should also arrange for rehabilitation of the refugees because most of them are probably facing a lot of trauma, Health care facilities should give free medical assistance to these refugees, telling them that even if their homes are destroyed they are always welcome in ours.

I think they could set up refugee rehabilitation and training activities, these are long term and will last beyond the crisis situations. These individuals can also mobilize the international communities to help in mapping out the available resources in terms of health or rehabilitation services in the camp of the host communities. The individuals should select volunteers according to their motivation, skills, commitment level etc, these volunteers should be trained on how to handle disability issues and the importance of a rehabilitation service.
This would be a good idea because it will help identify the refugees in need of rehabilitation services and refugees at risk of developing a disability, and also refer the person in need of special support and services.

My idea is for the government and businesses,
The government should provide employment and give work permits to refugees and businesses too can employ refugees with training, work experience and skills. I am sure that for many refugees, getting a means of livelihood is a major concern. Employing refugees will help them to maintain their self-respect and their independence and it will not give them a reason to think that they are a burden to that country. It will also help them to integrate into a new community to help them feel among and once they feel among in a community it will have a good impact on them mentally and emotionally.

My idea is for the people,
People should help by donating goods or money to help refugees feel welcome. It could be food, clothing, shelter, language books (to help refugees learn the language of the country), kitchen supplies, bedding or basic hygiene items. This is important because the government cannot provide all the necessary goods that the refugees will need to settle into their new life.

    My idea is for Governments
I think they could set farms because farms will help the host country cope with the arrival of a large number of refugees and the refugees can also get their means of livelihood from the agricultural sector of their host country. This will help increase the self reliance of the refugees and then strengthen the resilience of their host country.
This would be a good idea because the refugees and host countries can both reap enormous benefits from the farming, when they harvest the produce, they can sell at the local market, share the profits amongst themselves thereby making the refugees more independent and in the process learn marketable skills.

I think the government can set up good and proper Internally displaced persons (IDPs) camps for the refugees to stay in the IDPs camps. The government should provide security, comfortable beds to sleep, hot meals for the refugees to eat, health clinic centers, since there is no access to the hospital in case of emergency, a place to learn since they can't gain access to school anymore and access to communicate with love ones. When the government does this the refugees can feel loved and supported.

My idea is that the government can help refugees, feel comfortable, settle down, grant sick visas
Refugees with serious health conditions can get life-saving treatment, if governments decide to grant them visas to a country where they can access treatment.
It also grants scholarships to universities and schools and provides visas to refugees to start or continue their studies in another country. Such an opportunity can turn people's lives upside down by completing their education, integrating, earning a living and contributing to society.

    My idea is for businesses.
Businesses should be ready to offer jobs to Ukrainian refugees so they will also be able to provide for their families. I also feel business firms are at an advantage because the population of the country will be increasing as it accepts more refugees meaning there is also going to be in an increase in labour force leading to efficiency and of course increase in production. Also, hospitality industries like hotels, restaurants, resorts, motels and much more should be able to serve refugees at a discount and probably hotels and motels should not even charge them at all. Some should even offer them employment.

There are many solutions 1. Helping people to seek asylum so that everyone should be allowed to enter the country because it's
a human right . 2.Taking care of refugees that some countries accompanies those who work in their countries. 3. Consolidation if there is a different history . 4. Granting sick visas for people that their condition can be seriously affected. 5. Allow people study in universities and schools .
6.The use of technology like a smartphone can be a lifeline for a person if he has to leave everything behind or lose contact with friends and relatives. 7. Helping newcomers settle down that anyone who has lived abroad knows how difficult it is to learn a new language, make friends, understand the culture, and find a place to live or a new job. 8. Granting work visas or providing jobs for many refugees, getting a job is a very important solution to their problems; It is in addition to securing their livelihood and providing for their families. 9. Accelerate the resettlement process . I think is a critical way in which governments can provide protection to refugees .

I think everyone who has lived abroad knows how difficult it is to learn to make friends, understand culture and find a place to live. That is why integration is so important for refugees.
And this is my idea for people :

    1. Making friends with refugees :
Sometimes, just making friends with them can make a difference by : inviting refugees to your home for meals or family activities, talking to each other, or sharing any activity you want to do such as walking or listening to music .
    2. Support:
You can help refugees by making your voice heard in your government even if something small, like writing a letter to your country's Parliament about increasing visa speeds, can spur a change in government policy.
    3. Donation:
    There are many non-organizations
Certified profitability, which will use your money for the benefit of refugees directly, and these funds help with medical care, legal assistance, food, water and sanitation .
    4. Fundraising campaigns:
You can set up a fundraising campaign to increase the amount of money you can give, and you can spread it through social media.
    5 receiving them in homes:
If you have an unused room in your home, you can make it a useful home in the life of someone who no longer has a home, so you can consider hosting refugees in your home, or renting them out at nominal prices .

    My idea is for Schools
I think they could provide English classes where applicable, set peer support groups for the refugees and also send in teachers who are well trained.
This would be a good idea because sometimes these children in the refugee camp might not be able to speak English, so providing English classes will help them become more acquainted with the host country and the happenings in the country. The peer support group can also help the children both in academics and even in sports. Teachers can also help by spending extra time to put the children through tuff subjects

    My answer is yes:
The Ukrainians are in need of someone to support them and stand by them in a crisis like this, and this is an obligation, as he, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: (And God is in the help of the servant as long as the servant is in the help of his brother) certainly to all his ability and the neighboring countries (Poland, Romania and Hungary..) should do their best, in The truth is that the aggravation of the crisis between the two countries and the arrival of events to what they are now was not an expected thing that the Ukrainians were preparing for, so it is necessary to extend a helping hand to them.

Schools create a special corner to encourage refugees, welcome them and honor them for their courage. This will make them happy and make them forget the pain a little. The government should make plans for how best to provide for the immigrants and how to make them feel as if nothing happened. They could do this by making a day of the week gathering to talk about the courage, support, encouragement of Ukrainians, etc... . Raise street ads for them. 1- The hosting country’s government can provide governmental housing or provide sponsored housing for the refugees. The government can also provide support for their utilities that are related to the housing by paying a reasonable amount of the bills. In addition, they can provide some kind of free food program so that they can assist with family nourishment of those refugees. Finally, the government can create an employment program for the head of the household where they will provide the needed training to the head of the household and assure that they could work in a list of jobs in the area that the refugees are in and the salary is free from income tax.
2- Business, particularly the larger businesses, can provide free products or discounted products for them based on some kind of identification that is provided by the government. There could be a section in the store that people can purchase items or donate items and place them in that section and the refugees can have the choice of picking from those items based on their need. This could be anything like, food, clothing, cleaning products, etc.
3- Something schools can do, to make the refugees feel more welcomed is that the schools can provide a Ukrainian culture session each week or relate particular parts of the lesson to Ukraine and its culture. By this, the classmates of the Ukrainian children can understand the Ukrainian culture more and be more inclusive with the refugee children. They can also introduce some Ukrainian foods in the school cafeteria so that the refugee children feel inclusive as well as the hosting country’s children learn about the Ukrainian cuisine.

For the native language, they can appoint in hospitals (which are being built) doctors from the Ukrainian refugees to help them earn a living for themselves and their children and secure work for other refugees such as maintenance, construction, painting and handicrafts such as sewing and embroidery
This would be a good idea because Because it will give them work and good health

My opinion is for companies, in particular, the telecommunications company, to provide communications credit for refugees to communicate with their relatives and friends, to pamper themselves, feel a little reassurance, and feel that there is someone who protects them and who is with them, and that they are not alone. To entertain themselves.

This is an interesting idea imaginative_world. A lot of the discussion on this post has focussed on the role of governments in helping refugees but you have looked at private companies. Who do you think should cover the cost of providing phone credit for refugees? The telecommunications company or someone else?

Yes, it is possible if the telecommunications company can provide the free credit to everyone, but if the company is not able, it is possible for governments and other countries to help them with donations

Should the state accept all refugees who wish to enter?
Yes, because the refugees came from the causes of terror that happen to their children and their families, not to entertain themselves, and also I am an occupied dog, and I need some safety for their children and families, and also they must be received and protected. The Ukrainian government must cooperate and participate in stopping grain, but people remain in their homes, do not migrate and become refugees

l think that it is better and that all people can receive refugees, and also the best idea is to build a building that contains refugee homes, and also that it will help them feel safe and secure for themselves, their children and their families, and also for the government to make the necessary food and drink for the refugees because they have come to your country without their will They must be well received

I think governments and charities should give away toys and teddies to make children feel more welcome as they enter this country. Why should they do this-charts show 50% of the Ukrainian refugees will be children. Schools could give every refugee "a buddy" so that they make friends as they might be scared and worried about the war. These "buddies" would show the refugees round the school, play with them at brake and lunch, and help them make friends and fit in.
