Featured Image US Election 10

Hello, I'm encouraging_literature I hope you enjoy my interview.

My Character

Name: Alexandra Wilson

Age: 19

Occupation: Actor

How many electoral votes is the state you live in worth: 15

How does your state usually vote: Swing state

Who do you plan to vote for: Joe Biden

How powerful do you think your vote is? Not powerful ------x------------ Very powerful

Can you tell me about yourself?

Hello, I'm Alexsandra Wilson, I'm 19, I work as an actor and I live in North Carolina which is only worth 15 electoral votes. I would rather want to vote for someone that focuses more on the environment as we need to save the planet as all of the plastic we use today is getting in the oceans and it is harming the environment and the animals. I also would like a candidate that focuses more on education because it is one of the most important things in our lives and it decides our future and what we will be when we grow up.

How do you feel about tomorrow's election?

I feel happy and nervous because this is my second time and I don't really know much but the reason I am happy because I can finally vote for someone who would be better for my life and future. But there will be many other people having the same feelings so I'm not the only one.

Can you explain why some people might not vote?

Some people can't vote like non-citizen, ex-felons and under 18. Some just don't want to, for example, it was raining and I didn't want to get wet or there is no point in voting and even I didn't as they are both very annoying. Although I think that you would because it could make a change even by one vote. I heard that in some countries like Australia you will be fined if you don't have a good reason to vote!

How powerful do you think your vote?

It's not really as my state is only worth 15 electoral votes so I feel it's not that powerful. But it's not fair as some states have more vote than others. I think my vote is kind of powerful and could make a big difference. To sum this up I think my vote is powerful(i guess).

Why should people vote tomorrow?

It could make a huge change even by 1 vote. This is your president that is going to make decisions for your life and your future. So you might as well vote because it could make a huge change not just for you or me for all of us. Also, this is the only chance you can be heard so make it count.

How do you feel about the voting system in America?

I think it is unfair and confusing because I don't understand the reason for a popular vote when it's the electoral vote that counts. Also, it is not fair that young people can't vote as it is their president not just over 18s and their voice can be heard and they can't choose someone that is best for them.

What about the presidency? Would you ever run for president? Why?

I wouldn't it's too stressful especially when something, like the BLM protest, happens. And I would get really anxious and not know what to do, I wouldn't know who to calm everyone and I wouldn't know how to handle the problem. I already have a job and the producers are working on a new story so I wouldn't especially now. I think it is best left to the professionals.
