BIG CORP POWER

Big corporations are large companies or a group of companies who act as a whole. Amazon – the fifth most valuable corporation in the world – is an example of a corporation but it is split into smaller branches, such as Alexa, Amazon Prime and Amazon Go. They gain their success because they are innovative and lots of people buy their products. Amazon is very convenient as you can checkout in just one click and have it at your door in a couple of days. They have power, since they sometimes reduce the price of things or give offers so that more people could buy from them. Being responsible is a challenge because you don’t know what society will think of you if you do something wrong or irresponsible.

Being socially responsible means a company should treat workers and customers with respect. It also means to give some money to charity or smaller businesses. They can have a bad impact on the world by: wasting the Earth’s resources, using lots of petrol and using lots of diesels, however, some of them donate to charity. Amazon made a pledge to reduce its impact on the climate. Big corporations are not always socially responsible because they do not always make the right decisions but, they are always being watched by the public. Amazon, Netflix and more pay less tax because they moved their headquarters to another country. Did you know that Amazon’s profit increased by 1,000,000 in just a year?!

If a big corporation starts operating in a community, the other businesses will not have any customers because the bigger businesses have taken over. But it may benefit some companies because if that company has a bigger corporation near them, it would be filled with people, then others will start to notice the smaller corporations. Some members will loose out like people who have been living there for a long time. People who own greenery to have better breathing, will also loose out because of the lorries and trucks around their houses.

Social media and smartphones have positive impacts and negative impacts on the world. If you post anything on social media, you may need help with, people could see it and try to help. But it can also have a negative impact. People spend way too much time on their phones and on social media too. Also, you can get bullied if you’re not careful. I don’t think that there should be any rules about innovation and that they should be free because they may make something useful or good for the world. I think virtual reality headsets are a bit useless because what is the point of our Earth if you can see it through a headset?

Overall, I believe that big corporations are good things for the Earth. They also make good innovations, which may help a lot of people. Big corporations (especially online ones) are very convenient because you do not even have to go out to buy things. My recommendation for big businesses is to make good choices for our planet and to use their power for the good.

A brilliant Final Piece that clearly explains are number of issues and comes to a clear conclusion. Do you think laws should be brought in around social responsibility for big companies, as well as increased taxes?

Yes, laws must be established about the social responsibility of large companies, because large companies must understand and be aware of the responsibility of society, and not only for their personal interests, which do not benefit from them, whether employees or owners, and taxes must be raised to force them to help and take responsibility for the problems and natural phenomena of the state.

It saves a lot of time and effort, the buyer and the seller, and sometimes it will be more, and this will be an investment for the seller and the buyer
