Is it possible to avoid big corporations?

Featured image Big Corp Power 6

Have you interacted with a big corporation in the past week?

  • Have you used technology made by a corporation like Microsoft or Apple?
  • Have you interacted with anything that was bought from a big company?
  • Have you searched for something using Google, or watched a video on Youtube?
  • Have you eaten anything produced or sold by a big company?

If you're unsure if you have, why not check out the list of the biggest corporations in the world by revenue (the money they make) here.

Challenge:

In a comment below, complete these sentences:

This week, I interacted with a big corporation by... (and tell us how - maximum three ways!)

I think it is possible/impossible for people where I live to avoid interacting with big corporations because... (and give your opinion, and your reasons).

Well, one of the companies that I interacted with last week is YouTube, where I watched some educational video clips.
In fact, I think that it is possible for the people who live in the place where I live to give up or not interact with these companies, and that is because the place I live in, is somewhat like the countryside, the people around us live a simple, easy life, And they do not prefer to spend time on smart devices or products that can waste their time.

Do you think big corporations such as Alphabet actively try to gain more of your time, thereby reducing time enjoying the outdoors? How do you find balance?

Well, certainly these companies want to draw our attention, so this increases their profits, but person must take into account that he has time to enjoy other things, and I am also sure that balance does not come until after conviction, if a person is convinced that he must leave what Do it and do something else.
Also, this matter may fall on the parents, especially with children, they must be supportive of their children, and they are the ones who guide them on what they should do, and at other times, they must participate in some activities.

This week, I interacted with major companies through: I used YouTube and Google to watch some videos and search on websites, and I used Microsoft technology (my own computer) for research and entertainment. I think it is impossible in the society in which I live to avoid using big companies why???
    My reasons:
1- Big companies have a good reputation in the consumer market, everyone wants to buy or use one of their products
2- Because of the poor living situation in my community, because of the poor living situation when someone has to buy electronic technology , He goes to buy from major companies, knowing that their price is high, but he believes that they are famous companies, because everyone owns them, and since they are expensive, this means that they are well-made and of high quality, He says pay a lot to lives it with him long and this culture spread in my community that something expensive is always good 3- Because they are the dominant companies in the technology sector in the world now, and they believe that they are more efficient than others, and because of societal ignorance and their lack of risk to support small and new companies, they tend to support large companies 4- Because of the great promotion of major companies in society by merchants and sellers, when going to buy any new electronic technology, the seller or merchant offers various items to several companies, whether large or small, but always advises the buyer to buy from large companies on the pretext that everyone use it and it High quality and small companies are not developed enough
These cultures spread in my society lead to its dependence entirely on large companies and its lack of support for small companies, so I think that it is impossible for my society to avoid using large companies unless it changes these cultures

Do you think it is the duty of the consumer to boycott large multi-national corporations, so that smaller companies can compete, or should there be stricter legislation and regulation to balance the market share?
I agree that it must be incredibly hard not to use these companies, as they offer good value and reliable service though!

In fact, I do not agree with you. There are many international companies that we interact well with in Gaza by phone, for example (YouTube / Google) and many companies whose products we find in the grocery store, for example (Kitkat / Coca-Cola / Pepsi / Pringles /). ..and a lot of things)
Also, there are international brands in the market, for example, the clothes we buy from (Polo/Defacto...) and a lot of things belonging to international companies...!

This week I interacted with a big company by watching videos on YouTube and searching on Google to find out information about the World Cup in Qatar so I think it is impossible for people who live where I live to avoid interacting with big companies because when a class teacher asks that We are looking for an important part in the lesson, and she said that this research is necessary and everyone should do it. This is how we interact with the Google application, also now we are on vacation and when we feel bored, we open the YouTube application and watch videos in order to lose the boredom and have fun or any lesson we did not understand from the teacher. YouTube and we understand it from the explanatory videos, and also in the time of quarantine and not going to school, we used to learn through the Microsoft application, so my teacher used to meet and gather students to explain the lesson, or the company’s employees when they were quarantined at home were communicating by making a meeting using the Microsoft application or Other, and also when you want to buy beautiful clothes but they are not available in the market, so we interact with large companies such as Amazon to buy clothes, in my opinion, I cannot avoid interacting with large companies.

Frankly, they made an effort in teaching me, first: for me, I have difficulty learning my lessons, although the teacher explains well, so I use the YouTube application and watch educational clips closely. This helped me very much in understanding my lessons. The YouTube application and I watch the solution of the exam forms. Second: The Google application helped me a lot in knowing my questions easily (by saying easily that I could have searched in the library for books that answer my questions, but I know that it will take a lot of effort, so it is easier to search on Google.

Frankly, my grandfather used to say to me (I wish our previous lives would come back one day) and he meant that before the rain, they were cohesive and interconnected, there were no differences, and they sat with each other for long times without getting bored, telling interesting stories and checking each other, but after discovering the internet is our situation, there is no need to I say anything, as for when they were asking about something and did not know the answer to it, they would ask the educated and the elderly, and they would answer their questions.

Well, the best thing that we can learn from our questions without searching online is to go to the school library, and search for the book that contains this information. About the Internet to know our questions. Third, we learn to read clearly and without any problem. When you search for the Internet and browse many pages to find the answer, this may take a lot of time, which leads to poor eyesight. Fourth, there are many homes where the Internet is not available and it may give them questions, so do they give up , Of course, they do not go to public offices or school and be educated and know their answers.

This week I interacted with a large company by buying clothes from a large company. In fact, I think that it is possible for people who live in the place where I live to avoid interacting with large companies because the majority prefer to buy from the markets until they are sure of the credibility and quality of the goods, the markets are many And it was not limited to specific types of clothes or others, or we need these clothes necessary to attend a party or birthdays, so we buy them directly from the market for fear of delay in delivery.

Well, the majority of people buy new clothes when occasions such as holidays and other important occasions occur, and often the markets at this time are full of people and goods end quickly and they get tired a lot in searching for their requirements, so they do not find them, so they shop online while sitting at home comfortably and find their requirements easily without fatigue and trouble .

And I think that in the society in which I live, they cannot or impossible to dispense with the big companies. Why because the big companies have a good reputation and everyone is turning to use their product for the sake of development, and also now we are in a period of vacation between the two semesters, so all the male and female students go to sit on their mobile phones and watch Video clips Searching for websites and because of the large number of children who sit on computers and mobile phones and tend to use the famous site to search for videos and games and finally because of the Corona virus and closure procedures we have to read at home so we use the collective educational sites of major companies such as Class Room, and due to the tendency of a large number of employees to work at home, they use advanced computers and meeting programs such as Zoom to hold business meetings

Third: In the present time, social media has grown, so many people have dispensed with YouTube and found applications (Tik Tok, Instagram) more enjoyable than YouTube, but they did not interact with it, and many people see YouTube clips as silly and boring, so they avoid using it.

This week, I interacted with the Google search engine through what are the ten most famous companies in the world, and this search came from a series of researches that I always do. The ten most famous technology companies and the results of the search were:
    1- Apple
    2- Microsoft
    3- Amazon
    4- Alphabet, which owns Google
    5- Tencent
    6- Facebook
    7- Alibaba
    8- TSMC
    9- Nvidia
    10- Samsung Corporation.
I think that it is possible for the people I live with to interact with these companies, even in specific proportions, but this interaction will not be at all because the economic situation in the situation where I live is somewhat bad. It is possible that we can buy some of the products of these companies whose prices are rather simple. Expensive products will not be able to be purchased by a very small number.

This week I interacted with YouTube by watching some educational videos, I interacted with Google by attending online classes through Google meet. Also, I interacted with Amazon for ordering books.
I think it is impossible for people where I live to avoid interacting with big corporations because of the following reasons
1)The very first reason is pendamic . Due to pendamic many people ,who used to avoid using such applications ,have to rely on these for education , staying updated, etc.
    2) The children ,even if there was no pendamic, can't avoid using these companies as we have framed our minds in such a way that if we are searching for any information rather than asking anyone or refering a book we prefer to just type and get the answer in a few seconds . Actually everyone would do so as it's easier , faster and also effective.
    3) Corporations like Amazon have made it easier for us to buy things without going out and also sometimes we get more discount as compared to market. But for things of daily needs the people in my area still prefer to go to the market rather than ordering it online.

You have a net, but someone else does not have Internet, so he avoided using the Google application. What did he do? He went to the school library and searched for the book and found it. And know information about Harun Rashid. Secondly, your sister can avoid interacting with YouTube. Instead of watching videos in a time of boredom, you can do things that benefit from it, such as playing sports. To the amusement park and play with it, boredom is lost, and from it no problems occur in the independent, such as weak eyesight and loneliness.

And I am sure that people in the area where I live cannot leave these sites, they have become a part of their lives, and there are also a lot of students in schools, so they must research and use these networks to learn.
And what is also worth mentioning, while the Covid-19 virus was widespread, the Ministry of Education had to convert education to e-learning, so students all over my country used the Internet daily, to follow their lessons, and maintain their level of study.
