building back greener

Governments responding to the covid19 pandemic are right now focused on survival ,delivering health care and emergency support for reopening businesses and people thrown out of work by the previous lock down.

This has an impact on the natural environment in different ways.

With roads that had emptied during lockdown and factories closed, air quality has dramatically improved in the recent months in Uganda and emissions are estimated to have gone down by 8%

Experts think best option is building back greener because of the following:

>Building back greener assists with the restoration of the ecological system through re-afforastation.

>Building back greener will help reduce on the GHGs[green house gas] emission which will help reduce on gloabal warming in the atmosphere.

>It will help lessen water and reduce on noise pollution if people in Uganda and the whole world can adopt to use of public transport and use of bicycles for short distances to reduce on pollution caused by cars on roads

>Building back greener will also help reduce on pollution in the atmosphere and pollution on land form industries which can be achieved through sustainable industrialisation where industries should be built in some specific areas keeping in mind that waste from one indusrty can be used as a raw material in the other and should be shut down for a certain period of time to reduce emissions.

In conclusion, the pandemic offers an orpotunity to shape climate friendly recovery packages that both boost shorter term job creation and incomes and generate long term sustainability benefits.

The consensus appears to be that the Covid-19 pandemic has accelerated the move to a greener, more sustainable use of the world's resources. However, that move necessarily entails scrapping and replacing old infrastructure with new infrastructure on a massive scale, which in some cases is in the relatively early stages of development. There will be very significant cost associated with this move and the risk landscape, both in a financial and physical sense, will change in ways that it is not possible to anticipate at this stage. The road ahead will be exciting, but it will also be challenging.

The road will be challenging but then the people themselves have to work hand in hand in hand with the Government to ensure a sustainable growing back greener. This way there will be room for better environment and sustainable growth.

Most people are not taking climate change serious as COVID_19 because, during the COVID _19 the economy was negatively affected. This made the government to build many health facilities to accept people who are badly affected and also donated many PPEs and many materials to the health directorates so the nation's economy was destroyed, but the climate change did none of these things so it is important for us to cope with the change in climate.

Most people are not taking climate change serious as COVID_19 because of the following reasons.
In my opinion, the emergence of COVID_19 led to the shortage of goods and commodities. The crops that are used in the production of food were less in many farms, so as time goes on the prices ot foods were increasing. But the climate change also affected our crops but it did not increase in food prices,so it is very important for us to cope with the climate change.

The lockdown impacted on the climate both positively and negatively, This way even though the government dint care about climate but on the other side climate improved since cars and industries were not working hence climate was affected positively but on the other side climate was also affected in building of hospitals for patients of COVID19 through destroying forests for space to build and poor disposal of PPEs which degrade the environmental climate

In my opinion, most people cannot react to the change in climate but was able to cope with COVID_19 because, the COVID_19 was a dangerous killer that killed about millions of people. The disaster that robbed our world, destroyed our leaders, family and destroyed our econony was very serious. I can teĺl how they buried people like gabbage and brought an empty world. But the change in climate did not kill nor destroyed our world, also, it has been with us so it is important to note that climate change never wiped away our family and beloved leaders.

Climate change brought about positive reasons for us to try to cope up with it when the ozone became somehow relieved from the misty gasses from industries and car fumes. So it gave us a way and a reason to put it intoconsideration

According to me I  think most people have never been directly affected by climate change or experienced it. They obey the rules the government has put on COVID 19 because they see it is more dangerous than climate change. They do not know how big climate change is. They react to COVID 19 by obeying the SOP's because they know how dangerous it is. But since they do not how dangerous climate change is, they decide to destroy the climate  by cutting down trees and other things they do. COVID 19 can attacked  more than half of the world's population that's why people are very caring. However, since the effects of climate change take long to be felt, people still destroy the environment thinking that COVID 19 is more dangerous. That is why people do not react to climate change the way they reacted and still react to COVID 19. They do not know that climate change is more dangerous than COVID 19 because it can destroy planet earth.

You are true about people climate being more dangerous than covid19 but both should be put into consideration because much emphasis is needed so that covid19 reduces and climate improves in accordance to respecting SOPs and reducing on environmental degradation.

I think most people care less about climate change than covid 19 because they think that climate change doesn't affect them.

unlike climate change, Covid-19 directly threatens life. It's why people cared to prevent it.

Most think the effects of climate change wont matter like the effects of Covid-19 since most of their lives and activities were put on a stop.

Because Covid-19 has affected people's lives more than how they think climate change would.

People mind more about Covid-19 because it created several adverse effects like losing of jobs that they think climate change can't lead them to unemployment, so they disregard climate change.
Some people who have been victims of the covid-19 pandemic have never directly faced adverse repercussions of climate change.

Most people don't think that climate change can cause as many deaths deaths as Covid-19 did. they forget that with climate change, deaths can even be more since its effects are more severe.

Climate change hasn't yet caused a great alarm than Covid-19.
that is why the governments and the people never take serious measures and precautions about climate change.

The public takes Covid-19 a disease that would directly or immediately affect them. And on the other hand they presume that climate change does not or will not greatly and directly affect them since its about nature.
that is why they are arrogant about climate change and haven't taken any preservation to nature and prevention of the worse outcomes of climate change with the same urgency as Covid-19.
