Do you think the pandemic has had a good impact or bad impact on climate change?

Hi my name is consistent_alligator and today were going to discuss the question 'do you think the pandemic has had a good impact or a bad impact on climate change?'

Ok lets start with why the pandemic has had a good impact on climate change! The pandemic has now stopped people from going outside as much as normal. Now that everyone is staying inside their houses, it has reduced air pollution because people are not travelling anywhere. I think climate change should begin now as climate change has an impact to local air quality and little by little the pollution is starting to disappear. START MAKING THE CHANGE NOW WHILE THINGS ARE IN A GOOD POSITION. Pollution prevention protects the enviroment by conserving natural resorces while strengthening economic growth through more efficient production in industry. What do you think about this?

Now lets get on to why the pandemic has had a bad impact on climate change!

I think the biggest reason why it has had a bad impact on climate change is purely that covid 19 has become such a world wide topic that people have forgotten about the issues surrounding climate change. Noone seems to talk about anything apart from covid these days. I believe that because climate change is not talked about, people think it's not happening.

This is an interesting post consistent_alligator, well done! You have mentioned that climate change has been discussed less recently due to the Covid-19 pandemic. How do you think people could be encouraged to think about climate change issues again? Can you give any examples of what individuals or governments could do to raise awareness of climate change?

  In order to spread awareness on climate change, I think the most high profile platform would be social media! Everyone these days has some sort of social media platform. We need to be highlighting real life examples of how climate change is affecting us in order for people to take notice.

I would say about 70% good and 30% bad for there was a lot less pollution in lockdown.

The pandemic to be honest really is a blessing in disguise to our earth. Though we human beings met the bad side of the virus, our earth seems to have benefitted from the lockdown. This article allows us to hear what our earth has to say about the pandemic. On a more positive note, the lockdown gave us a chance to realize the impact we had on it and maybe even do something about it.

Brilliant points, this has made me think that the pandemic wasn't all bad after all. I think climate change should be the main problem as the pandemic eases, but i think that covid 19 was more important than climate change when the pandemic started.

i think that covid 19 has had a good impact on climate change because in lock down people have not been able to go out as much because they are scared of catching covid.
