Why you must write in your own words

Thank you to everyone for your contributions so far on the Student Hub.

It's a real pleasure to read what YOU have to say - because its YOUR voices that matter the most.

We only publish, and give stars to, work that is in a student's own words.

If you copy what someone else has written, without giving them credit:

  • It is not your voice, so we cannot publish it
  • It is unfair, and disrespectful, to the person who wrote it first
  • It is called "plagiarism" and if someone does it at a university, they can have marks deducted, examination papers thrown out and they may face being excluded.

If we spot anyone copying someone else's work, we will contact your teacher and you will be removed from the Student Hub.

How to avoid plagiarism on the Student Hub - it's super easy!

  1. Write in your own words - never copy and paste someone elses work. To show it's your own, try to use phrases like "I think..." and "I believe..." and respond directly to the questions that have already been asked.
  2. Use "speech marks" if you do want to quote someone else - (this means taking a short bit of what they've said, so you can comment on it) and tell us where it comes from. This goes for anything you quote - no matter where it is from
  3. Use other people's ideas to inspire you - think about whether you agree, or disagree, or want to add something extra. Press "reply to this comment" to make a direct response to someone

We can't wait to see what you have to say about our topics!

Give yourself an opportunity to speak your language and express what is going on around you. This opportunity develops your speaking, listening, and creative thinking skills to solve problems by identifying, responding, and managing discussion sessions that expand your awareness of the events around you.

Writing is not the only expression of thinking, there is the art of drawing, dancing and sculpting. Every art we do reflects our personality.

Yes, you are very much right as letters were not from the very beginning of the world. Previously people used to express them and their thoughts through signs or drawing. They used to use sign language to express their opinions. Later the way of writing and speaking using particular sounds which gradually become meaningful to all came and people used to explain or express them through this. But yet to make anyone more able to understand anything using picture or painting as painting is one of best way to explain anything than words. Words needs to be meaningful otherwise people with different languages will not understand but a painting itself is meaningful for all cultured people.
Therefore I think that there are many ways to express oneself other than using words including- mime drama, sign language, painting and so on.

Writing is another impressive way to express ourselves as well. We can express ouself through art by visiting muesems and galleries, taking photos, taking art classes, get in touch with our inner child. We can also express ourselves by writing about our feelings, verbalizing our feelings in a productive way, expressing ourselves creatively.

Well, I think that any student must evaluate his/her thinking and should go with your own thought as your perspective, your ways of thinking, talking, representing anything, making anything understanding to all is your power be it a successful one or not,yet your comment is being evaluated by others so somehow so with due self respect and consciousness along with self confidence one must face anything rather than copying others. You may take ideas and gather experience from others comment or works but it doesn't mean that one have to copy to attain success. By copying other one basically disrespect oneself so respect yourself and have faith that you are also able to do, you are also a part of the planet and everything, it may be earlier or later but you will get success if you work hard because hard work never deceives anyone.

We have to write in our own style for several reasons: The ability to communicate the specific idea that we want and want to communicate to others in our own way to convince them
To express ourselves, our personalities, and our ability to bring out our creativityIf we text someone else we will not be able to fully understand its content and if someone asks us anything we will not be able to give him a complete and convincing answer
We can take other people's ideas in only one way and that is to reinforce a certain idea we have and prove facts and different points of view,
If we steal the words of others, we will put ourselves in a place that is not ours.

We must write the text ourselves, not copies to show our creativity, because if we copy from others, we will not be able to bring out what is in our minds and creativity, but we can read other people's ideas and gain a new idea
Then we can write our own topic from her pure writing that contains our words, feelings, style, suggestions and our own point of view.

    "Many men, many minds".
We human beings are not only different in our outer characteristics or exposures, our minds and thoughts are also different and unique compared with each other. Each and every single one of us is unique and special, so our thoughts and perspectives are.

Sometimes we overlook our perspectives, thinking that we or our perspectives are not capable enough to contribute to any certain situation. Sometimes we believe in our perspectives, but don't get the guts inside us to accentuate those in front of everyone. I believe that each and everyone's perspective is equally necessary, doesn't even matter who you are. Only because our perspectives are different and unique, human beings are unraveling the mysteries of nature or inventing newer things every single day. A single and fewer perspectives couldn't make it such huge and this world couldn't be this much upgraded. That's why perspectives are very important, each and every single perspective.

We must write in our own word because:

    1) Our own words do matters, as all of our perspectives are unique and special, and it can do a lot to any certain situation.

    2) We sometimes rely on somebody else's perspectives because we think our own ones aren't capable enough. But we forget that someone else wont be able to understand exactly about your feelings and wants from his feet, only yourself can do so. So, we must write our own words in order to be more self-reliant and to find solutions by ourselves in any situation.

    3) If everyone can write or accentuate their own words, they will be able to talk about their rights and let the whole world know any crisis or situation being faced by his surroundings.

    4) Sometimes, we choose paraphrasing as an option. But modifying someone else's perspective instead of caring about our own is completely useless.

Writing in our own words is an absolute sign of expressing ourselves more clearly and more creatively. In the case of expressing opinions or feelings, words are sometimes not necessary because there are hundred thousand ways in which people express their feelings. Creativity and confidence in your own words are really necessary in such cases. Most teens seem to have anxiety working whenever they want to express their thoughts publicly which leads them to overthink every single sentence they use before presenting it. This is why we must have a practice of having the confidence and honesty to write in our own words because that would be the only way we create our impressions on people.

Every person has his own way to express .It may be through any medium: writing ,art and body moves. That way to express makes him unique in the eyes of others. So imitating others may give you a experience but may not make you come up with your own skills. It may take time to find your best medium, but it is not impossible!
So following own style can be your best style!

Of course, you must express your opinion with your words because it is impossible to show people how you think.
It is not wrong to know how other people think, but it is wrong to steal their way of thinking.
Because God created a suspension for us to think about, it is not fair to steal the opinions of others at all.
An intelligent person is the one who can correct and develop his thinking and take the experiences of others to steal them and attribute them to himself.

I think except own self, none can express someone's real thoughts. So if we don't don't express anything in our own words, we won't be able to express the thing 100% accurately which we want to express. Something written by a person expresses her creativity and way of thinking. And my creativity and my way of thinking is my own identity. Here is another thing regarding morality if we don't write in our own word. It is not fair to copy someone else's writing as our own and if we do that, automatically there will be mental dissatisfaction. My own words will also represent my personality and those words will be unique. So, it is best to write in own word.

    Energy
Nothing can live without energy. People, animals and plants need energy to live and machines need energy to work.
Today, most of the energy we use still comes from fossil fuels like coal, oil and gas, which have been formed underground over millions of years.
We call these non-renewable forms of energy because they can only be used once. Because of this, we need to reduce our use of non renewable fuel and use more renewable forms of energy like that from the sun, wind or geothermal energy.
For centuries, the wind has been used to sail ships and to pump water. Now it is used to produce electricity.
Water is also a renewable form of energy. Huge quantities of water go through the dams. This hydroelectric power supplies the countries with a lot of electricity.
Other countries depend on unclear power. Power is produced when atoms split. However, unclear power produces dangerous waste, which must be sorted for thousands of years before it is safe. Accidents at nuclear power stations are extremely dangerous to people's health and to the environment.

There are a lot of tiny pieces of plastic, are now floating all over the world’s oceans. The major source of this waste is bags or straws which have been broken up over time. It’s deadly for birds, fish, and humans. We can use technology to clean up the hundreds of millions of tons of plastic from the oceans by using technological machines.
Scientists use technology to predict about natural disasters like earthquake and hurricanes. The are able to predict hurricanes days much in advance, and predicting earthquakes with some self-assurance would let the planners discover some long-lasting solutions. Even a few hours’ before a warning can help people to leave unsafe areas, and millions of lives can be saved.

I agree with all your words, sir Tom.
There are many things that the writer should consider, including:
Perhaps I disagree with many who say that the reader is the one who judges whether you are a good or not a good writer.
The first is the trap of compliments. On the communication sites, you will be deceived by many compliments from readers who did not read what I wrote, and opinions that are not from her people lead in their entirety to the writer’s freezing at a certain level, thinking that he is the best.
As for the second trap, it is destructive criticism, and it is that subjective attack on what you write of ideas. This attack often - and perhaps always - comes from a person who is unaware of what he is saying, and is far less than you, because if he intended to direct, his criticism would have been objective, drawing your attention to what you are committing. of errors.
So; From whom then do we take an opinion? Who is able to judge whether we are fit to carry the trust of the pen or not?
Believe it or not; There is only one person who can do this, this person is you, so listen carefully to your inner voice, for it always tells you the truth, so trust in yourself if you hear a voice that inspires you with ideas, then trust in God and start your arduous journey towards knowledge, towards knowing the origins of the literary genre that you like to write with. Knowledge is learning.
A good writer has many qualities, including self-confidence and not paying attention to polemics and sub-battles, or engaging in sterile polemics that waste time, but the most important qualities at all are frequent reading, and encyclopedic knowledge.
Read, learn, upgrade and add something new for yourself every day.

Yes, I agree with you, because first, copying from others reduces the value of a person. Also, the competition targets and develops the student’s abilities and creativity. It also gives the student to express his opinion in his own language. It is in order to communicate his point of view to all. He will not be able to deliver what he wants, and the idea is confused, so it affects the student in the future of his ideas and even his ability to win the competition

Oh.. this is really unfortunate, you get tired writing the comment and someone comes and takes it really unfairly! But I want to ask, is it possible to learn from the comments and write about the same topic??

Yes, we encourage you to learn from other students, willing_mood. But we ask that you put things into your own words and always try to add and explain your own opinions so that you aren't just copying others.

Really, it is a sad thing when I see my comment copied and someone else is suspended from his account meaning that I do my best on this comment so that it takes a star and then someone else takes a star instead of me and this is called impersonation and is also considered theft because it is taken without teachers
A person must challenge himself and activate his mind and age his brain to bring out the best of what he has and to be distinguished.
Do you know that I comment a lot, but most of my comments do not take stars, but I do not give up and try again in order to earn stars and I did once after 16 comments I took a star and this is for my will and not to take the work of others and impersonate their personalities

Basically, this competition is held to operate the students’ minds, develop their ideas, and bring out the intelligence they have. If you lie to yourself and take someone’s comment, this means that you do not benefit from entering this competition.

I totally agree with everyone who believes that plagiarism is bad. Writing in your own words is sometimes boring or hard but when we write we unlock a perspective on the topic. When we take someone else`s writing and just post it not only are we disrespecting the person who wrote it we are also disrespecting their perspective, without giving much thought to it. But now if we do agree to the statement and writing they have given and paraphrase it because of the similar perspective. I think it would be a better idea.

We are in this competition to learn and understand, and we should not take from others, and also we must have a writing style, which is the style that the writer chooses to write for his reader. Style reveals both the writer's personality and opinion, but it also shows how the writer or writer perceives the audience, and chooses the concept of writing style which in turn reveals these choices that the writer can change the conceptual world of the general character of the work so we must write and understand to express and creative in writing

In light of everything, I feel that any understudy ought to evaluate his/her thinking and should go with your own thought as your perspective, your points of view, talking, tending to anything, making anything perception to everything is your power be it a productive one or not,yet your comment is being surveyed by others so somehow so with due confidence and mindfulness close by confidence one ought to defy anything as opposed to copying others.

You may take contemplations and gather knowledge from others comment or works yet it doesn't suggest that one need to copy to accomplish accomplishment.

By repeating other one basically ignore oneself so respect yourself and have certainty that you are moreover prepared to do, you are furthermore a piece of the planet and everything, it very well may be earlier or later.

Anyway you will get accomplishment if you lock in light of the fact that troublesome work never hoodwinks anyone. That's it in a nutshell.

I think we must write in our own words because , it helps to develop think capacity, like if we are describing something in our own words we need to think critically and analyse it and than we can write more about it, if we are copying someone's idea we get stuck on it only and we are not able to think about it, in our own way.
Writing in own words builds confident
and also helps to express your ideas in your own words, also contributes to communication skills.

It is important to not copy each other because, their is no one like yourself, which also shows how unique you are and to share your ideas on the fascinating website,it's our strength, as if I just copy someone,it won't be useful because I will just be wasting your own time doing something that some else has already written,as also we can't share our thoughts in COP26 (where the world leaders are), but topical talk is a blessing to say our rights here,so it shows that if we copy we won't be our unique self, for we are different by having different names on this website, like marvellous_hurricane,but if we copy each other's ideas,we can't have unique voices.

Expressing yourself is one of the most important things. Words are vital as they are your own, not replaceable, not copyable. If you try and copy it will not be from the heart and will never be the same since it is not your version of yourself. It is a shallow attempt to rise above which I think is not the purpose words were made for. For communicating, for creating and for giving other your best self.

yes because you need to express your self in your own way instead of copying other people. you might not succeed life if you are feeding of other peoples information. For example if someone says Afghanistan is a bad place and you say that its bad but its actually good then people will doubt you.

From my point of view, writing words in your own style is an art of influencing others, through which others can understand and know human psychology and thus achieve familiarity and complete compatibility with them ,So when you steal words from others, it can expose you to insult and misunderstanding of your point of view by others.

Why should I write in my own words?!

We must write in our own words so that it would be wonderful for the reader, meaning that when someone comes to see your post, he may be surprised and say how this person can write so wonderfully and how he relates the events and so on....
As the benefit of the scribes in your own words is that you will be able when someone asks you something and you answer it in your own words, that will make him feel that he has asked (a conscious person) that also will reflect positively on your future in the way you think and may change your boldness to speak....!

Why should we look forward to the news?!
It is important for me to be aware of news, politics and what is happening in the world
That is, this is a kind of useful knowledge. It does not necessarily have to be science only in schools or what our teachers give us. This is only comprehensive information that everyone should know. We can also take useful science from inks from social networking sites...!
You may come to ask those who excel in school, what do you know about the (Afghanistan war), for example, they will say nothing, why? Because they are only interested in their curriculum, that is, they are not looking forward to what is around the world...!
So it is important to look at the news that will make me (educated) and it is great for someone to come to ask you about something and to be aware of it...!
