Is the financial crisis still effecting us?

For lots of people they had owned a property and wanted to sell until the prices went down increasingly.

So they would not want to sell it for less than they paid for it.For some properties in the prensent the prices have just made it back for how much they paid for the properties.

Hi supportive guineapig, thanks for having a go at a post. This looks like it could be a really good conversation starter as it is about something new. The subject of house prices is a very interesting one.

We'd like posts to be a bit longer and more developed than this- at least a paragraph long. We'd also like you to check them through before posting to make sure they make sense to all of your readers (you can 'save draft' and come back to it later). Lastly, it is always great to add a couple of questions into a post to get the conversation started in the comments section.

Please bear this in mind next time you write a post and, in the meantime, get commenting in the comments section to win some skills stars!

UK productivity fell sharply during the recession of 2008-9. It subsequently recovered only sluggishly so that five years after the initial slump output per worker was about 15 per cent below a simple extrapolation of its pre-crisis trend. This contrasts very sharply with the experience of other post-war recessions in the UK. This project investigates the underlying causes of this productivity weakness in the UK, examining in particular the mechanisms by which the banking sector crisis might have affected the supply side of the UK economy, and how it has affected company performance.

Dear BNC, do all discussion starters have to be super informative?😕

      Good question!

No, a discussion starter needs to begin a brand new discussion which is not already being talked about. So if there is already a post about something you want to write about, you should write a comment underneath the existing post. If you have an idea for a new discussion, this should be a post. Good posts will have the opinion of the author and so may have information, research, reasons etc in them.
