What impact does the Bank of England crash in 2008?

The Bank of England is incredibly important for England's financial survival. This event of the Bank crashing, must have caused a lot of damage to businesses, the government's money, the money that belongs to the citezens, people who want to buy a house, car, or something really expensive. This can cause people to be broke, shops to close down and employees to lose their jobs. It could also cause an economic crisis for the government.
