Do Government Invest Enough Money in the NHS?

As you may know, the NHS offer free health care. This results in the Government being forced to pay money from their governmental savings. However, is that enough?

The Governmental Savings.

The Government's savings are made up of a taxpayer's wages. All politicians have access to these funds. This results in some politicians using them for luxuries like holidays and other things. This means even less mobey is funded to the NHS.

The Equipment Costs.

Saving lives is a tricky job. It requires precision and good quality equipment. To get this quality equipment, it is VERY expensive! This reduces the amount of money that is put into other things. This reduces the performance laid by the NHS.

This means that they need a LOT of money!

However, there is not a large amount of money that is funded to the NHS.

This is NOT enough.

They are saving lives. It's tricky business.

They need this money that are not recieving!

So, that's our opinion.

There IS NOT enough money being funded to the NHS.

I believe that the government do invest enough money as the NHS has a lot of money to spend. They also have spent over 1 billion pounds on NHS health care products.

Openmined_llama, I think the UK government is estimated to spend 9.4% or 9.7% of its budget on healthcare and the NHS - however it is rapidly increasing - but where did you see that they spend 20%? And I don't think it should be more because the OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) is 9.3%, and that is highly researched. Also if we did spend more we wouldn't have more money for other things that are important. So I am sceptical on why you think we should spend even more, however USA spend 17.8% on it so maybe it could be beneficial for us but I am not convinced it would solve more problems than it fixes.

The government only spends 20% on healthcare and i think they should spend more because the NHS needs more money for medicines, operations and other things.

Despite already being one of the largest items of government spending, the NHS will require more funding in future if it is to maintain its current standards. These increases will be larger if we also want to improve the quality of health care provided in the UK.
