Dear Mr Gove
I am a year 6 student at Hammond Junior School in Lightwater, Surrey , which is part of your constituency in Surrey Heath.I am writing to you with regards to the terrible political crisis that is currently going on in Hong Kong .In my opinion, I think Britain should intervene because Britain made an agreement with China that China would sure that the way of life ad the economy in Hong Kong will be remained unchanged until 2047.
In China (2015), five Hong Kong booksellers who sold books that were critical of chinese leaders vanished and some ended up in prison in China. This is probably not the first time this has happened.
As British people we like to know about human rights in both , Hong Kong and China. In Hong Kong human rights should be protected aswell as in China they have been criticised for not respecting human rights.People in China are not allowed to say what they want if they criticize the gverment ,they could end up in prison.People are genrally allowed to say what they want in Hong Kong ( freedom of speech)
In conclusion, I think we can all agree that Britain should intervene as this is something really important and if Britain doesnt who knows what will happen.
Thank you for havng the time to read this letter and hopefully it has persuaded you to get Britain to intervene.

Thank you for your contribution @enthusiastic_atmosphere. You stated that Britain should intervene with the ongoing political crisis in Hong Kong, because China is not respecting the human rights of the residents there. Can you state and explain what type of intervention Britain should take to help Hong Kong?
