Dear Helen Jones,
I am writing to you because the violent protests in Hong Kong have led to many questions about whether the UK should intervene.
China is taking away all Hong Kong’s rights and it’s not fair. It is not fair because they promised to not change anything. They made this promise in 1997 when Britain handed Hong Kong back to China.
In my opinion, I think we shouldn’t intervene because we might make a huge fight and people might get injured. I think Queen Elizabeth and the president of Hong Kong should have a meeting about all this.
Hopefully this ends soon.
Thank you for reading my opinion.
