Letter to MP

Dear Faisal,

In school we have been learning about the Hong Kong crisis. Britain ruled Hong Kong for 150 years, and then in 1997 it was given back to China. China and Britain made an agreement that life in Hong Kong would stay the same and that the economy wouldn’t change until at least 2047. China broke this promise.

I think it is unfair because China broke the rules by trying to rule Hong Kong. 180,000 people who were born in China now live in Britain and Hong Kong are now protesting for their rights to be given back to them again.

Britain should get involved as they have made an agreement and they should make sure it is stuck to.
