Dear Faisal Rashid,
Our school is working with the Burnet News Club and we have been learning about the Hong Kong crisis. Hong Kong was ruled by Britain for 150 years. They have a shared history together. They made an agreement that was signed by China and Britain. They both promised to make sure that the way of life and the economy in Hong Kong would remain unchanged until 2047. China broke this agreement.
180,000 people from China are living in Britain. 119,990 people from Hong Kong are now living in Britain. My opinion is that Britain shouldn’t interfere with other countries. In Chin you can get put in jail for criticising the government or campaigning for human rights. Britain and China work closely together on important projects focusing on farming and food production that try to make sure there is enough food in the world so without this people may go hungry.
