Letter to Mr Gove
Dear Michael Gove,I am a year 6 student at Hammond Junior School in Lightwater,Surrey which is part of your constituency in Surrey Heath.I am writing to you in regards of the Hong Kong Crisis which is about Hong Kong not being happy about China taking more control. If you did not know people are debating whether Britain should intervene or not.My personal opinion is to intervene just because China is firing rubber bullets and tier gas which is seriously hurting people. But in the past China and Britain signed the Sino-British Joint Declaration after Britain handed Hong Kong back to China which meant that they were both in control until 2047 but China is taking more control and Hong Kong is counting on us to retrieve their freedom. If you did not know people in Hong Kong do not like to be known as Chinese citizens because it was when China added a new rule that if you were thought to be guilty, than you would be sent on a trial to China and if you were guilty than you would be punished there to.Hong Kongers did not like this rule because 99.9% of the trials ended in conviction.I am asking you to tell the goverment go to China to tell them to stop but with words because if they start fighting then we would loose because China has the biggest army in the world and 1.4 billion Chinese citizens in the country so they would kill us.
