Dear Mr Gove,

I am a Year 6 student in Hammond Junior School in Lightwater, Surrey, which is part of your constituency in Surrey Heath. I am writing to you with regards to the terrible political crisis that is currently going on in Hong Kong. I'm sure you will agree, that a resolution to the situation must be found as soon as possible as many innocent people are suffering. I strongly believe that it is our responsibility to intervene and help the residents of Hong Kong return to a state of peace free of China's unlawful infulence.

The situation in Hong Kong is getting more harder to deal with, I think Britain should intervene so Hong Kong can have their freedom but China are stopping them. Everyone should have their human rights but in Hong Kong they do not there are a few things that are going on in Hong Kong such as, violent clashes with police, going on since June, the new rule, hundreds and thousands were on the streets, human rights, democracy, tensions escalate on the streets, tear gas and rubber bullets seriously injuring some people and China might send in there army to end the protests.

There are 7.5 million people in Hong Kong if we don't do something that number will possibly drop.Britain and China work closely together on important projects focusing on farming and food production that try to make sure there is enough food in the world. China also have the biggest army in the world. Also, Brexit is due to happen on the 31st and the British goverment is spending a lot of time working on that.

To summarise, if we were to intervene, we could help lots of peoples lives in the Hong Kong crisis. I would say we intervene beacuse us and China have a very good trading relationship so I would appreciate it if you told the rest of the Members of Parliament to intervene.

Thank you for reading.

Yours sincerely,
