Should people in Hong Kong have the right to freedom?

Back then when the people of Britain had control over Hong Kong, they made a democratic deal to give Hong Kong back to China. Britain then split both rebublics into two different places and signed a contract for it. Years passed, and protests began in Hong Kong.
In my opinion, I think the people of Hong Kong should have the right to freedom as article 19 states. What's your opinion?

I do not agree with you affable antelope because Britain have faced Hong kong once and they can do
it again. In addition to this, Britain were the ones who signed the contract.
