How can refugees can help other refugees?

Refugees and Responsibility – Featured Image 7

Diala Brisly is an artist and refugee. Forced to flee Syria in 2013 and is now settled in France. Diala uses her art both for her own trauma and to defend the human rights of others. This commitment has led her to create work supporting women’s hunger strike in Syria and to host artistic workshops in refugee camps. Today, she runs art therapy workshops for children affected by war.

Diala’s newly commissioned illustration, which makes the statement ‘’Refugees are Courageous,’’ kicks off the International Rescue Committees (IRC) 2021 World Refugee Day campaign honoring and celebrating the contributions of refugee artists.

You can see her artwork here.

Do you know more information about Diala Brisly that you can share? Explain.

Do you know of any other refugees who are now trying to help other refugees?

Zahia Al-Masri is the first Palestinian refugee to run in the Canadian Parliament elections. She ran for the Canadian Democratic Party in the federal elections in the largest city in Quebec, Montreal. Thus, Zahia became the first Palestinian refugee to run for the Canadian Parliament elections.

One of the most important reasons for her candidacy was her accurate knowledge of the neighborhoods and streets of this region by heart.

No one knows the real pain of being a refugee more than a refugee.
Freddie Mercury, original name Farrokh Bulsara, is the head of the very famous rock band "Queen". Freddie is a refugee. He moved with his family from his town Zanzibar/ India to the UK when the revolution broke out there and thousands where killed. Freddie joined a band that later became one of the most famous rock bands in the world. Freddie and his band contributed in lots of concerts that raised money to help refugees from all around the world like the "Live Aid" concert.

Diala Bersali made plastic art the door through which the suffering of the Syrian refugees was broadcast, and from here she proved her responsibility in presenting the Syrian crisis to the international community, so she showed her film about the activity of the doll Amal, which is the doll that expresses a six-year-old Syrian refugee girl searching for her mother, that The event that made the doll roam Europe to remind the tragedy of the Syrian people and Syrian refugees

By the refugee crisis, I mean the suffering and pain that refugees are exposed to, as well as psychological crises due to wars and persecutions
Also, when will they go back to their homes?

Well the only negative thing that is happening that in owr world till now with all the justice they think they make , people are still fighting for their own homeland , people are seeking refugee off their country . So if everyone is going to get back their country , home , and land then what is the harm they are causing? What are the disadvantages for that ?

If I may ask you, do you think that war is the only cause of refuge in a country? I say this because in your comment you have said that will the wars all over the world to end to make refuge end. Is it me or is it just your comment friendly_currency.

Logically no , it’s not only war but war is the only thing that causes citizens of a country to leave to another one . However, in another hand we have refugees who leaves from one zone to another but in the same country that is due to weather conditions, this type w seeking refugee is less harmful than the one from country to another .

In my opinion, there are many ways to support refugees, for example the artist The British Anne Marie released a new song about a Syrian refugee, and they can be helped in several ways, such as psychological, moral and material support, such as helping the people in the country for refugees by giving them food, money, donations, and entertaining Their children from war crises and the establishment of special associations for refugees, so hand in hand we will help them

I can see a link between this post and another post from same student, which is " who helps refugees", the link of the post : https://talk.economistfoundation.org/projects/refugees-and-responsibility/the-discussion/who-helps-refugees/. The link between those both posts is that they are both talking about the ones who can help refugee for example as Un, citizens, governments, or maybe refugees between each others. I will answer on the second question "Do you know of any other refugees who are now trying to help other refugees?". I would take the sisters Bella and Gigi Hadid as an example . Both of them are super-models for many famous brands, they are also from Palestine, and they refuge to many countries untill they reach America. Now, both they are so successful in their working life and they are always supporting Palestine by donating their fashion month 2022 earnings to help refugees and poors in Palestine and Ukraine, although they are facing obtacles in the all ways.
