Refugees are a profitable business

Refugees and Responsibility – Featured Image 7

Refugees are a profitable business: According to published reports by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) that people smugglers have received tens of billions or more since the smuggling of refugees in 2000, but the real numbers may be much higher.
He said that in the framework of a partnership between the European Union Cooperation Agency in the field of Law Enforcement Reporting (Europol) and the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol), the commercial profits from the smuggling of migrants every year are estimated at 6.6 billion dollars, which means that it represents one of the most important activities of organized crime profit in many countries.

Under Resolutions 2331 (2016) and 2388 (2017), the Commission and the international community are required to work together to address trafficking in conflict.
What can be done about it?
Do you classify these behaviors of contemporary slavery?
What are the ways to prevent this phenomenon, especially with the continued existence of so many conflicts around the world?
How are refugee-hosting governments working to reduce this serious problem? How can we pursue these gangs? There are many indications confirming the occurrence of such a thing, and I found this through the link https://ahvalnews.com>

This is a very important question, willing_imagination. The sheer indifference and inhumanity of people who smuggle other people is astounding. Can you find out what governments around the world are already doing to stop this?

It took a lot of initiative on States to take effective measures to prevent and combat the smuggling of migrants by land, sea and air requires such a comprehensive international cooperation, and require the exchange of information and cooperation and to take any appropriate action in this regard
Recalling Assembly resolution General 54/212 of 22 December / December 1999, the Assembly called upon States Members of the United Nations to promote international cooperation in the field of international migration and development, so as to address the root causes of migration, particularly related to poverty, and encourage them to continue to do so from for the benefit of everyone,
And the need to deal with the refugees humanely and protect their rights protection Full,
Having taken into account the fact that despite the work done by other international forums, but there is no comprehensive agreement that addresses all aspects of the problem

I agree with you willing_imagination. Accepting refugees is a win-win formula. Refugees are normally taken as a burden but they are rather welfare-enhancing assets. Not only does the host country benefit but also the refugee himself or herself. There are obvious reasons that refugees benefit from being hosted in a new country, for example:
    1) They can carry on with their lives without disruption.
    2) Most importantly, refugees are given the right to live in a peaceful environment when the host country accepts them. Just imagine, living in a country where there is political tension, war, or conflict, you would feel bad and you would want to seek asylum in the neighboring country but you are then told to go back to your country. This is bad and refugees are humans like us, thus they should be given equal rights as us.

Now, how do countries benefit from hosting refugees? The more they settle refugees and the faster it is done, the faster and easier it is for the refugees to intergrate into their new culture and labor force, which means that they will finally find a job that suits them and bring more productivity labor to society.

I can see a great link between this topic and a topic by another post on topical talk which is "child labor among syrian refugees". The link is that this post is talking about smuggling refugees and gaining money from such business which I consider as contemporary slavery, these refugees are going to the other countries as slaves and from them those children that'll be forced to work the worst types of work that will exhauste them as they are weak bodies, this is the topic that "child labor among syrian refugees" talk about.

I can find a link between this question and another one i answered about how can host countries benefit from refugees. The link is that as refugees are given the help to live a better life, they can benefit the host country in the field of businesses have the experience of business, in addition they foster the host country's economy, and so by that countries must try to benefit from this by accepting refugees and offering them a better living.

I can find a link between this post and rational_grapes post “ Refugee rights “ . The link between them both is sort of a hint because to take under consideration that refugees have a right to live safely, healthy and in stability , and as well to achieve those rights they need to get a job that assure them to get what they need instead of betraying those refugees. Furthermore, to get them what they deserve they need a profitable business that can approach them to get all what they need .
