5 reasons space exploration is more important than ever!!!!

Space๐ญ๐ may be the final frontier, but its an expert chance to explore. There are ample problems with which to contend here on ๐ earth, and that leads some people to wonder if space exploration is worth the hassle.I believe the answer is 'unequivocally' yes!!Here are 5 reasons why space exploration is so vital to humanity.
1.New technologies and research.
Humans didn't evolve to go into space, but we go there anyway. That has led to the development of various tech that feedback into the economy and improve our lives on Earth, without space programs,we could not have GPS,accurate weather prediction, solar cells,or the ultraviolet filters in sun glasses and cameras. There's also medical research happening right now that could cure diseases and prong long human lives, and these experiments can't be done on Earth.Space exploration could save your life.
2.Astoriods and comets don't care about us.
Speaking of saving lives, space exploration could save all our lives. Our solar system has calmed down a lot since the early eons, but there are still uncountable big asteroids and comets out there that could smack the planet and really ruin your day. It's happenned several times in the past, each one causing a mass extinction. It's not a matter of time until a large Astoriod hits the earth, but when.A robust space program is the only hope we have on deflecting such an object.
3.colinization is the only backup.
There are currently more than a 7 billion humans which is a lot.We are crammed together on this one planet. If something happened to earth, our species could be wiped out.For example, the aforementioned Astoriod impact.Colonizing other bodies in the solar system is way to create a "backup" of humanity that will survive no matter what happens to earth. Maybe future humans will be martinis who will never set foot on Earth.
4.Space mining could save the world.
As we develop new technologies on Earth, the strain on our natural resources continuous to increase. The extraction of valueable minirals has led to a host of problems including environmental damage and human exploration, but there's a world of precious matirials in space.Startups like planetary reasourses want to mine Astoriods instead of earth, which would mean an effectively unlimited supply of raw materials that are rare on earth.
5.We are explorers.
There are more practical reasons for space exploration but one of the principal reason's we must continue is that we're explorers.Thats why humans number in the billions-from our earliest upright steps,we've endeavour to learn more about the world around us,and this allows us to build civilisation.Exploring space is an opportunity not to only to discover new world's and build advanced technology, but to work together toward a larger goal irrespective of nationality, race,or gender. If we stop exploring,we stop being human.

I liked your post but in my opinion if an Astoriod landed on Earth we could take specimens of it because I do not think we should mine for an Astoriod
Yes but if a Astoriod land on earth it could make humans extinct.
Asteroids won't hit the earth because we would get a capture bag to capture asteroid and then bring it back to earth so that no humans can be harmed.
What is a capture bag and what if they don't have it ready or if they haven't got any more
The thing is they won't.
We can not mine for an asteroids unless we go into space
Thank you for liking my post

This is a great post but I do have some reasons why space exploration isn't good. Personally I am having some trouble deciding whether I think space exploration is good or bad so I want to write this to help every one else that might be struggling too. You could read through the arguments for space exploration on this great post and then read my arguments against it and then decide what you think. Of course it is ok to be neutral too.
Firstly, we might cause problems on other planets in space as well as the problems we face on earth currently. By mining on planets in space we are actually chipping away at them and they could be a possible planet for humans to eventually live on. Furthermore, did you know that approximately 2.9bn is spent on mining a single asteroid in the US? This is an exponential amount of money and something that could be spent on something else such as solving world hunger or contributing to making people more likely to use public transport (which stops pollution from everyone's cars greenhouse gas emissions from entering the atmosphere)
Secondly, the rockets and equipment used to get to space, can cause pollution both in space and earth. We should not be causing problems in more places than earth. I understand that exploring space could find the answer to some of these problems, but in the meantime, it causes so much pollution that it may not be worth it if we never find anything useful.
Finally, there is always so much on the news about possible water or life up in space but most of the time it is never true. This not only causes society to get their hopes up but they could be left to wondering-worried and confused- is this real, should I believe it? This is not healthy for anyone and can cause huge debates across the globe.
This is what I think, thank you to this post for making me think even deeper! Its great.
I like how you word this carefully to reflect your uncertainty and scepticism, frank_chocolate.
Your welcome frank_chocolate for me making you think much deeper.
Well done on your amazing comment and for getting a star
