Questions i want to answer about space

There are lots of questions i wouold like to answer about space and most of them i still am not sure of so i will appreciate hearing what you think afterwards.
IS THE MONEY WE ARE SPENDING FOR SPACE WORTH IT?
I think that we spend to much money on space. there is a crisis on Earth (climate change) and people spent 150 billion pounds on the international space station. Yes it is important but it isnt as important as stoping climate change. I feel like we could have made a smaller space station insted.
IS LIVING ON MARS POSSIBLE?
This is probably the most difficult one because we dont know how many more inventions people will have made then. I think we should still keep trying to visit but it would cost to much for people to live there because we would need buildings with airlocks everywhere. But who knows maybe it will be possible in the future .
WHAT COULD HUMAN KIND LEARN FROM ALIENS?
This depends on how intelligent aliens are -if they exist. If they are we could learn quite a lot from them because we could learn about how they survive on wherever they live.
IS IT POSSIBLE TO GO TO PLUTO?
I don't think this is possible because remember when Tim Peake came back down from space. He had to have help to walk for a while and if that is the affect of 6 months in space thnk about 9 years and 5-6 months in space (which is how long you would have to be their for.)

I agree, I think we should spend more money on climate change
Yes we are doing plastic pollution in class and we are writing letters to Rosie Duffield about it. Save the ๐ planet๐๐๐๐๐๐!!!!!!!!

Good work, cheerful_significance but I would like to reply and give my opinion of your answers.
On the first one, Is the money we are spending for Space worth it?, I think this is a common question but I think they are both equally important because if we keep on exploring Space, then we can gather knowledge on then how to stop Climate change. I think Climate change is important because if our Earth is dying, and we are on it, it is likely we will die so there will be no one to even explore Space. Is living on Mars possible? is a common question as well. This has been answered by some people though. We would need to fix the temperature and the atmosphere, as well as finding ways to stop side effects from happening.
To be honest, I think it does not depend if aliens are technically smart or not because I believe that we could learn anything from anyone, for example, why to be curious, as you can find out the thing you want.
I think it is possible to go to Pluto because if Tim Peak did it, so can us. Also because how would scientists figure out how long it would take to travel to each planet if no one had been there?
I feel especially Sceptical about If the money is worth it because after all, Space is a topic people can learn about, not something we need.
Thank you for your ideas and I might change my mind about whether spending money on space is worth it. Although, if we try hard enough on Earth we could save it. Your comment opened my mind more about Pluto but I still feel like it would be to risky.
I donโt think that Mars is habitable because of lots of reasons.Mars has 7% of Earths gravity so it would be hard to build and it would be hard to go outside. There are also particals that are far out in space which can go through most objects and through human tissue which can cause cancer. This would lead to death if we stayed on Mars for to long. The atmosphere is also 96% carbon dioxide which would make it impossible to breath unless in an airlock. Did you know that from just 6 months in space Tim Peake could hardly walk so if we stayed on Mars it would damage our limbs. The average temperature on Mars is -55 degrees And the closest place to that on Earth is Antarctica. Many scientists work there and most of them suffer from depression, aggression and memory problems caused by staying in the cold for too long.

Approximately how many exoplanets have been discovered
4,000 I think

I like this post, cheerful_significance!
Thank you

Living on Mars would not be possible due to lack of o2 and it's freezing temperatures, furthermore, water would be a hard part of living on Mars because water only being on both poles of the planet.
Mars could have been habitable four billion years ago before it lost its magnetic field. Charged particles from the sun began tearing away marsโ once thick atmosphere to a thin silver t cannot keep much heat in or UV radiation out. This caused the surface to become dry and cold as a result, leaving subterranean aquifers perhaps the only potential abodes for earth-like life.
For more information use this website which I find the most useful https://www.space.com/make-mars-habitable-with-silica-aerogel.htm. This comes to your of no, Mars is not habitable.
Thank you for your comment and I am thinking about changing my mind on this. Although, what if just a few astronauts traveled there and if there was some way of making a small station there. They would need to pack quite a lot of food on there because it would be a long journey but I think they would be able to.

Good work why is there a dwarf planet ?.
21 Nov 2019
I say Pluto is a dwarf planet because it is extinct
What do you mean it is extinct?
09 Dec 2019
Disappeared

Like it is a planet but we donโt like need to know what, where and why it is a planet
Sometimes I think that too but knowing about planets can help us with different things on earth ๐.

yes it can and i find that very important because then we would have no idea about these scientific facts in general
