Would you build a wall?

Of course, we all need some sort of a wall in our lives, whether it's the wall that separates the bathroom from the corridor or the fence in between you and your neighbours' gardens, walls are concrete separations we do not even notice. But when we take walls away, we are all one, aren't we? There's no my house or your house, because you'd all live in one big area! There's be no my bedroom or your bed room, because there would be nothing to separate the two spaces. There's be no my country, your country, no my garden, no your garden, even if you said "this is the cut off point" it would all be one long stretch of floor, no one officially owns, and no one can use privately. Thankfully, we do have walls, walls everywhere. In fact, the definition of a wall is...

  • A continuous vertical brick or stone structure that encloses or divides an area of land.
  • A thing regarded as a protective or restrictive barrier.

(There were two others but they were irrelevant)

And they separate us and the outside world. They give us privacy from, prying eyes, other people, the cold, the rain, and dangerous things that we do not want to come across. So if you had the power to build a wall, would you?

You would need...

  • Money
  • Materials
  • Builders
  • Agreement with others
  • Space to build
  • Guards? (Not necessary for a smaller or less "urgently needed" wall!)

Do you have those things? Well, you can get money by... Yes, calling the situation an emergency or on a smaller scale, save up for a LONG time. Or you might already have the money to build a wall!

Materials? What are you going to use? Stone or brick are strongest and globally recognised as materials you use for building a wall. Cement, house foundation and decorations. Do you have what you need?

Builders... You can find willing builders on the internet! This is where money is very useful!

Agreement with others. If you're thinking about a garden wall or extension, neighbours might want to know about your plans. (Fall outs not recommended!) If your thinking about neighbours in a different country, then you may have to agree with a larger amount of people. Not only will you have to arrange things with the other country, you will have to think about an agreement with your own people. Not everyone will want a wall. Not everyone can afford the wall. Not everyone agrees with the wall but you will have to get to some agreement or you'll lose support from your own people!!!

Space to build? What might this involve? Clearing hedges, destroying homes, moving neighbours and cutting of areas... What else? You can't build a floating wall, your wall DOES have to be safe! (in case you were wondering) Where would you build your wall?

Guards. Unfortunately, every wall in every house and every garden probably can't be guarded by armed military forces... Can you imagine? But one get one free!!! But would you, like Korea, like armed men watching at every couple of metres, and checking for the safety of their employees.

So if you were Trump, and now has power by calling situation an emergency, so you think you would build a wall?
