Knife crime is a persistant and worrying concern, especially to our society. Over the last few years there has been a shocking rise in violent crime. Through 2017 to 2018 there was a 16% rise in knife crime in the UK which is a shocking increase.

Since january, London has seen double the number of fatal shootings and stabbings compared with the same period last year. The word needs to get across, anyone stabbed or murdered ruins there family memebers, lovers or friends life forever and that whole in their heart can never be sewn up again. When you think of a murder or a killer you portray them as an evil horrible person, however that is not allways the case. Quite often young vulnerable children are dragged into dealing drugs or stealing something, maybe it makes you feel safe being in what you think is a 'safe environment.' Starting maybe from knicking something from the corner shop can lead to killing someone and wrecking their, and their family members, lovers and friends life forever. This year is on course to be the worst in 10 years for numbers of young people in England and Wales killed in knife attacks, with 37 children and teenagers stabbed to death so far.

There has been a sharp rise in west midlands, which includes Birmingham, coventry, Wolverhampton and Walsall. The region has already recorded the highest number of youth deaths in 40 years, with young people aged from 8 to 19 dying from knife attacks within that police jurisdiction this year.
