Is there such thing as a victimless crime ?

There is no such thing as a victimless crime .

First of all, if i was driving and it was midnight no -one around and all was quiet . I was stopped at a red light . (Just to let you know running a red is a crime.) I went through the red light no cameras . I would be the victim beacuse i am putting myself at danger by proceeding at a red light. So if i crashed and i died ,i would be the victim and the person who did it.

Another example

If i was robbing a store (wich i would not do) the vicitm woud be the store beacuse im taking something from them therefore they are being robbed.

Thanks for reading :-)

    Hi good_hedgehog,

You have some great thoughts here! However, there is a post that has already been started about this:

I would like to reply to you, but will do so when you copy your ideas and add them as a comment to the discussion I've given the link to. This is because we want to encourage developed discussions underneath a few posts rather than lots of posts about the same thing.

Once you've copied your ideas as a comment in that discussion, I'll comment back to you with my thoughts!

I like your reasoning but what if somebody was wondering in the dark and walk onto somebody's lawn by accident? Trespassing can be a serious crime but who is the victim if it is not purposely done?
