what do we do

Never underestimate the powers of weapons they cause damage to lives. Gangs are caused by people who feel unloved or lonely like Septhon and are searching for acceptance like a family drawing them in. Then the gangs tricks the person looking for acceptance and make them extremly angry full of frustation and start hurting people due to anger. Which increases the chance of crime and possiblaties of hurting someone.

So how can we stop this happening?

Maybe we could create more youth centres, reducing bullying at schools because thats one of the main reasons people join gangs, more police on our streets which will decreases the chances of crime and gangs forming.

The reason we should create more youth centres is because it will help young people express their emotions or keep them relaxed which is a good way to prevent people joining gangs.

We should reduced bullying in schools as this will mean that young people don't join gangs because bullying makes young people feel lonely and unaccepted which pushes young people to enter into the new life about being with gangs.

More police on the street the better. The police will keep us safe and prevent us from causing trouble and hurting people . Which is a great way to keep our streets safer and reduce crime.

Tell me if you know more ways to keep our streets safer.

Good post! I think you have described detail of how you can stop violent crime. I am doubting more police on the street will help with violent crime. I think this is because gangs or people who commit violent crime could potentially harm an officer on the streets.

I agree with all these solutions. I also think that if more employment was provided in poorer areas, then the number of children joining gangs and committing crimes would fall. This is my opinion because many people join gangs and commit crimes to earn money, however if employment opportunities were provided, no qualifications needed, then they would have a chance to earn money in an honest way and would not need to commit crime to get it. Also, if more vacancies were offered to ex-offenders, then there would be less crime, as many ex-offenders will not be employed by people because of their criminal record, and so resort to crime to earn money. If more jobs were provided for ex-offenders then I believe that we would see the rate of violent crime fall by a large amount, as much of it is committed by ex-offender. Overall, I believe that it will be beneficial to society and the reduction of violent crime if job vacancies were given to many more people, and those who have previously committed a crime, but reformed.

I agree with this statement and i think we defiantly need more support around the LIC(low income countries) due to them not being aided as much as HIC ( high income countries).
