Words are like obsolete Knives.
Before the first sharpened spear,
Man used blunt fists in battle.
But before battle man,
Used sharpened words on blunt men.
These sharpened words became obsolete,
Man could no longer be angry using words.
Man created spears, sharper than words,
Words became blunt.
Now our governments use words,
To release anger at their views of corruption,
History repeats itself,
We return to obsolete knives,
We repeat mistakes of our ancestors,
Strange how we have become obsolete,
But our knives are sharper than ever.

Words ARE like knives. They hurt people and we need to learn from our mistakes. I really liked your post! One example where I think knives are like words are when the media says things, ABOUT KNIVES!!! They can hurt. They can hurt your heart, but in some way they can hurt your brain. They upset you. However, I don't think we will keep repeating the cycle. We are looking at solutions for crime (knife crime in particular) and I believe that we can probably lower the amount of crimes or sharp words.
