Women's rights in Iran

In September, 2022 Masha Amini was arrested by Morality Police in the capital of Iran. She was arrested due to not wearing her Hijab in public. She died whilst being held by police and people believe that she was killed by them. The police denied this and said she had died from a medical condition. Eyewitnesses state that they saw Masha being severely beaten by the police. This caused huge crowds of people in Iran and around the world to protest against the Iranian government and the Morality Police about the mistreatment of women and the lack of equality.
In Iran and other countries around the world, women do not have a voice. They are not able to make their own choices in life and are told how to behave, how to dress, who to marry and so on. I believe that women deserve the freedom to be able to make their own choices in life and to be able to live their lives the way that they choose.
