Women in media

In my opinion, women in media are treated incredibly unfairly. They get put up as picture perfect: no flaws. When a women, girl, lady of any age posts on social media they get instantly judged for who they are, what they look like, their ethnicity, their body type, how their makeup looks, what their hair looks like and many more to see if they meet the beauty standard in todays world. Its horrendous how women get treated. The commments about the way they look, when its not something you can instantly change because the person commenting doesnt like it. A women cannot look a certain way without being commented on. If they look picture perfect in some peoples opinion then they will get comments like 'you've used photoshop' or 'too much makeup' just because she looks somewhat good. Or, if they dont look on point, then they get comments like 'you're too fat' or 'wear more makeup' or 'you look ugly'. All of these comments can affect somewhat mentally and physically. The person commenting doesnt know how they will affect the mind of the person who posted the picture, it can affect them in many ways including: eating habits, clothing choices, social ability, confidence and many more. The fact that even some women comment on other women is disappointing and disguting as they should know how it hurts someone. In the worsed cases it can lead to mental health problems like deppression or anxiety or even suicide.
