  • hi I thought the lesson was awesome and I learnt that you can use technolagy in sports

  • hi it is nice to meet you all

    1. Hi, the lessons are super, and I learned a lot of things about how we can use technology in sports.

      1. Can you tell me more about how technology is used in sports?

        1. Hi, first of all, the live lesson was really exciting; it talked about technology and some techs and tricks that we should sometimes focus on.
But how TECHNOLOGY is used SPORTS???
Sometimes it enhances an athlete’s performance in courts, tracks and many more.
Is that the ONLY thing? NO
It also prevent injuries by detecting the heart rate and blood pressure with smart watches and more modern strategies such as mouthguards and sensors.
Equipments can be used to minimize human errors these are like the hawk-eye in tennis or cricket, and VAR in football; they help make fair decisions.
All these show how technology is essential in sports to both, athletes and their coaches.
Hope I answer your question Aimee @ Topical Talk!
          Thanks for your time!

          1. Thanks for your comment, unique_wolverine! I think the use of emerging technologies (like AI) in sport is fascinating. I used to play rugby, so I have been particularly interested in how the sport is adopting technology, like the 'smart mouthguard', to help detect potential concussions in players. In a tough sport where player safety is key, these innovations are promising!

  • I thought the live launch was wonderful, it was fun submitting our answers and deciding whether the items are tricks things or real.

  • I adored the last live lesson it was full of amazing quizzes to get our brain ready for the day and I loved the running across the class to pick a side and it also got my body ready for the day cause funnily enough we were doing PE later on that day. PS.I love all your fun live lesson especially the technolagy its crazy how its taking over the world I bet the future will be filled with AI

    THANKYOU FOR LISTENING :)

Thank you so much lovely news story topical talk people .

  • Hi,
I am astonished with how useful the live launch lesson was. It made me think of a topic that combined tow ideas that I didn't think of them together before, which was something creative. It is about using AI in sports. In the class, we had a debate, the two sides argued if it "fair" to use AI in sports or not. One side said "It is not fair to use AI in sports because others may not have the access or ability to use", and I agreed. Another one disagreed saying " It is ok and fair to use because it doesn't matter and it will have a positive impact on the player as it will help him a lot."

From my point of view, I agree with both sides but in specific cases. It isn't fair if it was used by only one player and there is another side who can't for ANY reason. I also agreed that it is fair because if both sides are using it, why not? It would really help them improve their skills, it can even help the coach him\herself to plan a game or know what injury is caused to a player. So, by the end, we decided that it depends on the tool used (because the player can use it to cheat) and the access that lets everyone to use it.
Finally, it was interesting as it helped us express our own opinions and understand others even if we disagree with them.
Waiting for the next lesson and thank you Topical Talk!

    1. I absolutely agree with your point of view it was a really useful live launch and taught me some stuff. And I also think that it would improve their skills.

  • Hi I'm upbeat_ant I really enjoyed the launch because everyone gets to say their own opinion. I also think we got to learn a lot about sports technology, I personally think it got lots of people involved. I found sports technology very interesting because I didn’t know most of the questions.

  • Hi 👋 I am skillful_rock I think that the launch was good because I learnt lots of new things about topical talk like how to communicate with other people. I liked the topical talk because it was good to learn about.

  • I found the Live Launch to be more entertaining than I thought it would be. I came into this festival expecting no fun and very serious discussions. After the live launch it was a lot more interactive and interesting than what I had expected. I really enjoyed the guest speakers and learning about how they use technology to help in their sports. Being able to discuss in school was also a new experience compared to the limited amount of discussion during class. Overall I found the Live Launch to be a promising start to a fun festival.

    1. Thank you - and we hope you'll have lots more fun as the festival goes on!
