Does giving international aid sometimes cause more harm than good?

Did you know that President Trump has terminated aiding other countries in 2025? It sounds bad, but this president does these things for a lot of reasons. Aid might sound good, but is it really? I'm not saying I like President Trump at all, but in this case, I might just have to agree just this once for what he has done. In my opinion, I strongly believe that giving international aid can sometimes cause more harm than good because it's known to foster corruption, it creates dependency, and it can even be a sign of betrayal to your allies.
To start off, I think giving international aid is more harmful than helpful because some countries continue to abuse and foster corruption to these aiding countries. For example, imagine there is a country that is doing great but then goes down in resources somehow, and so most likely an aid country would be there to help them out. Afterwards, they come out to be just using you for resources and have never somehow stopped having a lot of resources when down in resources, nor did they ever need help. Sooner or later that aid country that helped this country may have to go through poverty just because of these countries that "need help". This is just one explanation of how some countries would just take advantage of your aids.
In addition, many people say it can "carry the country back where it left off", but really what you're doing is making them be more dependent on you. For example, imagine a building country needs help, and of course, an aid country would help them. Done right? Nope, the country went down again, not even trying to help themselves at all, thinking the aiding country would just come back and help them like before. This is just affecting these countries that are in need because you aid them, and all you're really doing is making them less independent for themselves.
Lastly, I believe this statement is true because sometimes aiding some countries can lead to betrayal to some of your allies. For instance, imagine there is a war between America and Japan, and America has the U.K. and France as allies and Japan has Vietnam and China as allies. Then during the war China sees France is in need of more resources as China sends resources for that country, but when Japan and Vietnam heard about this, they saw China as a country who had betrayed them over a country who was in need. This is just one way some countries can just betray allies just by these aidings people call "beneficial".
In conclusion, giving international aid can sometimes cause more harm than good because it is known to sometimes foster corruption, it creates dependency, and it can even be a sign of betrayal to your allies. These are the 3 reasons why I believe these "aidings" should be removed to stop this harm countries are spreading.
