International aid - Standpoint image 3

The big question: does giving international aid sometimes cause more harm than good?

I think too much aid in one country causes more harm because if other country’s see this then they might be jealous of the country and cause war. This means that many people will probably get killed because the war will happen across the two countries.

If people receiving the aid get lots of aid then they might not know what to do with it so I think it is better to get the aid they need rather than just having lots of aid everywhere. People may cause more harm by doing this because if someone doesn’t have the aid they need then they may steal it from somewhere else.

Another important reason is people might purchase only one type of aid so if someone really needs aid then they might die because people will have aid that they don’t need. This will cause more harm than good. However, if people ask for aid when they need it they will be fine and they will survive.

Some may disagree because they might they might think that if they purchase all types of aid then everyone will be fine. However, I disagree because it would cost a lot of money and they might not have all the aids that people need.
