Does giving international aid sometimes cause more harm than good?

INTERNATIONAL AID

I think international aid should be controlled by the country giving the aid as they should have more responsibility in what their doing because after all it is their taxpayer's money. Also international aid may not seem important but you need to see it in a compassionate point of view. Some countries in war really need that support and some think that money is the only think to help them, that is technically wrong as some countries do food aid, some even volunteer to donate clothes. International aid also comes with opinions, in my school we did a topical talk lesson about international aid and chose what we we're going to spend our "global points" on. It was difficult and we learned that sometimes deciding something does cause a impact on what you focusing on, and can even have a negative impact on our own country. As others may view our country as controlling.

Decisions not only cause huge impacts but also cause confusion and debate in the country and divide communities. I also think that USAID should come back as aid is getting expensive -day by day- also with the cost of living crises happening in shops all around the globe, it limits the amount of money for aid available.

So in conclusion, aid is a important part of daily life for all countries in war or in crisis and aid shouldn't cause division but cause unity.
