Does giving international aid sometimes cause more harm than good?

Giving international aid can sometimes cause more harm than good. The reason for this is because some countries will only depend on aids and that isn't good and that wouldn't help the country develop. Aid can also be bad because of corruption which is the greatest threat to governance and development, it also slows down economic growth and reduces citizens trust in government. I am not saying that giving aids is bad but it should be given for a good reasons do not just given out because the country is in dept that is mostly the countries fault and the country should build its self back up. They would of course get some help but then what happens to that money should be controlled and etc. Aid should be oven out when there is real trouble such as war, conflict, lack of military equipment or natural disasters. So in conclusion aids should be given out at the tight time and not just given out because the country needs money without an explenation.
