If all ages are influenced by misinformation, should there be any age limits on voting?

In the beginnin, vote was instituted by Athenian democracy, allowing citizens, who were only men, to choose their representative. It was not about the age of the person but about its ethnicity, his gender. Later in history, a new condition was set : money. Finally after several years of protests and hard-work, every major citizen, male or female, without dinstincation between rich and poor, could vote. The only condition left to obtain the right to vote is age.
Nowadays, one of the principal reasons for setting the voting age at the majority, mostly 18, is because of misinformation and the idea that 16 and 17 years old are not informed enough to make a decision about the future of their country. The fact is that information and misinformation is an issue that strikes not only underaged people but also some adults. In fact, elderly people are also stiked by a huge misinformation due to their restricted social cercle, leading them to only be aware of the kind of information that they seek and not all information from different points of view. Moreover some middleaged do not have any interest in politics or information leading them to vote the same way than their friends or family. Another issue for voting age is then to find out if an age limit is therefore possible, knowing that some 16 and 17 can be more aware than major people about politics.
For us, the idea of lowering the voting age is good but only for those who have an interest in voting, for the underaged who for example work and pay taxes. In Scotland or Malta for example, there are more 16 and 17 voting than the 18-24 because of the interest for younger to act for the world their living in. The idea is then to put an compulsory vote for the 18 to 70 years old (to avoid the restricted vote of the elderl). The 16-17 years old and above 70 will have the right to vote but it won't be an obligation. This system has already been experienced in Argentina and it seems that it has worked in the best way with more politic information in schools and a better civic participation.
