If all ages are influenced by misinformation, should there be any age limits on voting?

I think everyone who is older than 18 years old should have the right to vote, until they die or develop a mental issue, which could affect their capacity of deciding. Although most citizens regardless of age are strongly influenced everyday by social media, TV, family, friends or even my their religion.

The first reason than supports my opinion is that all of us since we are very little, we became influenced by people who surround us, for example our parents, teachers, relatives and members of our religious community. These ideas are introduced in our minds since early age and repeated over the years. As a result, we tend to think these ideas are the only correct ones. Moreover, young citizens under or over 18 years old still forming their political views. Also, we have less experience and we have to inform better about the history of political events.

On the other hand, the ideas they passed to us can be changed or develop, as we obtain information from different sources and we share opinions with a large variety of people with different political views. This process requires time, so we shouldn´t vote until we have formed our political views.

Secondly, old people have more experience and knowledge than young people. Furthermore, many older generations have passed throught many different goverments and political issues, so they have create a deep perspective of politics. This knowledge can be used by their vote in the elections.

Nevertheless, other might be disagee with my opinion because old people may not understand and argue modern issues the way young people do. Furthermore, many old adults vote the same political party for several years, without updating recent information in different sources. As a result, they don´t vote the party which fit their ideas the best nowadays.

However, I still thinking my argument is stronger, although the maximun voting age have some reasons. Because a person who remain his o her mental capacity should have the right to vote.

Taking everything into consideration, all citizens can belive manipulated information and be influenced by social media, whose addictive algorithm show us many times a political idea through a long period of time. Therefore, we get familiar to it without noticing. On top of that, many citizens follow political trends for social acceptance, because everyone of his or her community support the ideas. Furthermore, it is not easy to identify wrong information, due to the large amount of false ones.
