Should voting rights match a person’s legal responsibilities?

If a law is passed, around 1.5 million more people could be able to vote. I do not think voting rights should match people's legal responsibilities because everyone deserves the right to vote for their country.
I think people about 16 are able to vote because at 16 they are sensible enough. The first example that supports my opinion is that Ed Miliband said that Labour would get people to vote at 16.
The second example that supports my opinion is Wales lowered it to 16 in 2021 but in some countries the minimum voting age is 18. I think my argument is stronger and the BBC said many now want the age at which people can vote to be even lower.
