Should voting rights match a person’s legal responsibilities?

I believe that people's rights should match their legal responsability. If someone is expected to follow the law and face legal responsabilities when it comes to their actions, they should be also be given the right that allows them to vote and take part in the decision for their country.

Firstly, many people alredy have important legal responsabilities. For example, people are expected to obey laws, work and pay taxes, id someone is required to do these things it is only fair that they also have the right to vote and sharing their opinions. I does not make sense to give people responsabilities but not allow them to take part in decisions that affect their country.

Secondly, matching rights with responsabilities helps make societyu more fair. When people feel trusted and included they are nore likely to be responsible and respect the law. Having rights gives people a reason to care about rules and decisions, beacuse they feel like their voice matters. This helps make a stronger and more respectful society.

I think some people might disagree and say that not everyone should have the rights because some people might make bad choices.. This is not a very good argument. Everyone makes mistakes and sometimes grown ups too. If people are trusted with responsibilities then they should also be trusted with basic rights. Education can help people understand how to use their rights in a way.

Even though this argument is not very strong it is still important to understand why some people feel this way. They might worry that if everyone has the rights some people might not take decisions seriously or could be easily influenced by others. This could cause problems especially when decisions affect the country. I understand these concerns because rights do come with responsibility. But this is why education and clear rules are important so people can learn how to make choices while still being treated fairly.

In conclusion I think voting rights and legal responsabilities shoul go together. It is unfair to expect people to follow rules and face consequences without giving them a chance to vote.
