Lowering the voting age - Standpoint image 2

Lowering the voting age to 16 could improve democracy because it allows young people to participate and they can tell their opinions about civic issues. When young people feel that their voices matter, they may be more motivated to stay informed and participate in public discussions. This could create a generation that is more engaged with democracy. Many teenagers are already learing about politics, economics, and society in school so I think they have their right to vote.

On the other hand, some people argue that lowering the voting age might only change the way campaigns are run. Political parties might focus on attracting younger voters. Some people also believe that sime teenagers may not have enough life experience to make decision about complex political matters.

Overall, lowering the voting age could have both positive and negative effects. However, I believe that lowering the voting age could make the next generation better because they might be more interested in politics if they can have their opinion to vote.
