Would giving 16-year-olds the vote improve democracy or just change the way campaigns are run?

Do you think voting at sixteen is a good idea?
Well I believe it is a bad idea, because it can change the way campaigns are run. One reason is that teens don't really understand most of the voting yet. Another reason is that most teens are also very gullible. That means if people say that campaign gives free money even though they don't. The teenagers would just vote for that campaign. That is why I think voting at sixteen is a bad idea.
People that could disagree with me are people that think some sixteen year olds are way smarter and know what to believe and to not believe. I disagree with these types of people because many of these teenagers are always on social media such as Instagram, Tiktok, Snapchat, and Youtube. These sites that are entertaining to us give false information. Since they are always using devices to use those sites, I feel like they would just listen and believe the false information.
If my reasoning and examples were really heard by most of the whole world. It can change the law in the U.K. which could turn the voting age back into the normal one. You may disagree with me or you could agree. Whatever your opinion is, let it be heard. This is my standpoint about lowering the age to vote.
