Is it safer for a country to have many different allies or to rely on one very powerful relationship?

It is safer for a country to have one very powerful relationship,Because if a counrty has many diffrent allies their allies their allies could get into confrantation.Also with multiple allies you have to worry more and keep peace with all of your allies, Cause if you do something to keep peace with one ally it may cause havok with another.What i believe someone who disagres with me might think multiple allies means if one ally falls you still have others while i believe one powerful ally can protect you and dosent have to worry as much as have to protect multiple allies. Another reason is because if your allies arent friends of friends and don't know eatchother and might have little trust in eatchother.In my opinion this is why i believe it is safer for a country to have one very powerful ally,insted of having multiple allies.
