  • Is it more dangerous than fun or the other way round??
Would you recommend this job for young people who like exploring??

  • If I could meet Susanna I would ask her whether or not she has ever attempted doing this without modern navigation and safety technology and I believe in this day and age her answer would be no which is a good thing because this is also a wonderful argument to prove that not all modern technology is evil trying to take jobs, sometimes it’s just there purely as a safety precaution, it’s there to make sure Susanna does not get lost, it is there to make sure that Susanna is found if she does get lost or if her boat tips and she can’t flip it back around if Susanna is floating out at sea with no one around her she can be found she doesn’t have to be scared about drowning or not being saved she can know that modern technology is on her side and that she will be found. Modern technology is not out to harm us all in many cases like Susanna’s it’s there to help.

  • One news story I keep reading about is the tragic story of Renée Goodman, Renée was a US citizen trying to leave her home she was shot in her car by an ice agent who said “I feared for my life” he mentioned that because of Renée driving trying to make a three point turn going less than 5 km/h I do believe that sharing these new stories give young people an amazing point of view of what is happening in the world even if it does scare them, because I do feel that young people should know that the world we live in can be scary but they’re also news stories that ensure them that not everything and everyone is out to get you, ice agents are taking it too far and that is something I will standby, the Donald J Trump administration supporting this behaviour is cruel ice of killing loved ones and I live in fear for the ones I know who have immigrated to America from South Africa purely to make livable wages. I believe it is important to share these stories with the youth because these news stories are things that are happening every single day in the USA and young people should know what is going on we should be educated on what is happening in the world we should know what world we live in what world we are going to go into once we grow up the world we might even be able to change when we get the chance.

  • I think it's really amazing how you rowed from Portugal to Brazil, that must been really interesting. What would you say is the best experience you've had rowing? And did you want to be a rower when you were younger? And if not then what inspired you to want to row?

  • So, from your description I’ve taken that you travel in seas or rivers and use tech(?) to help sometimes as it’s dangerous. Is there a reason that you chose this job? Is it because maybe as a child you liked to explore? Also, how did you find this job and people to do it with?

  • I think that rowing is an interesting sport and it is really beneficial; it makes people brave and confident as they are at the risk all the time.

    So...
Do you think that rowing helped you be braver and have the ability to face problems stronger? Do you think that rowing as a group is better and safer than rowing alone? Did you face any situation that were really frightening, for example, an attack from a shark? And finally, does rowing affect your mental health negatively or positively? Did you have a person who was encouraging you all the time like parents or friends?

  • Hi im rhetorical_whale and I would ask, what her trickiest part of her trip and what does she find the most difficult ? Do u have any type of emergency contact that you text when in trouble ?

Would you recommend this Job to any other people or children ? And have you had any major accendents when in the unpredictable conditions out in the Ocean ? Do you regret choosing that Job or do you think you made the right decision?

  • How is like to be a ocean rower

  • Sustainable Development Goal 15 talks about Gender Equality. As a woman rowing across powerful oceans, how do you think your journey challenges traditional gender stereotypes and inspires girls to enter extreme sports and exploration?

If you could change any rule in rowing, what it could be and why?

What was your biggest childhood fear, and do you see that same fear in the middle of the ocean today?

When you were a little girl, did you ever imagine that one day you would row across oceans and create history?

What is the one advice that you can give for the future generations of rowers?

What is your first reaction after achieving your "Dream come true moment"?

Who is your idol or inspiration in rowing?

  • Did you face disasters in the ocean and if so what type of tech that helped you?
Was GPS a major helper with you in the ocean?
As a role model, can you give some advice to young people about rowing?
Can rowing affect our physical and mental health positively?

  • have you ever seen the great barrier reef before?
Would you want to see the great barrier reef if you haven't?
Do you see sea animals sometimes???

  • Who is the role model that encouraged you to pursue ocean exploration and helped develop the skills you need to stay safe while rowing? Why out of everything out there, what or who is the main reason that you started ocean rowing?

  • Hello Susannah, I would like to ask some questions:
1-Your academic life was very successful so what pulled you to start ocean rowing?
2-If there was no modern tech how would expeditions be?
3-How did tech contribute to your training?

I am looking forward to know what you think about the questions and thank you.

  • Hi topical talkers, I’m free explanation and I’m going to be answering questions.

First, how did you get into ocean rowing?
Next, why did you decide to do ocean rowing instead of a different job in your life?
Next, how old were you when you started doing ocean rowing?
Last but not least, do you like doing ocean rowing and please give me an explanation?
Thank you , and see you next time topical talkers.

  • Hello Mrs,Susannah Cass

1-For sure you're a great ocean rower , which means you faced many difficulties in you life or career but which difficulty was the hardest for you
2- An ocean rower is a difficult job that depend about your skills, for sure you have visited many seas and oceans what was your biggest discovery

  • Hello Susannah,
I find it truly inspiring that you row across the ocean to explore the world. It takes not only physical strength, but also courage and determination. Exploring such vast and unpredictable places must completely change the way a person sees life.
I sometimes wonder, do you ever feel afraid while rowing in remote areas? The ocean can be powerful and unpredictable, so how do you deal with fear or the possibility of getting lost during an expedition?
Personally, I believe jobs like yours are important because they push human limits and help us discover more about our planet. However, I also think this kind of career requires special training and passion, so it may not be suitable for everyone.
I’m also curious about technology. Do you think modern technology makes exploration safer and more effective, or do you think relying too much on it takes away from the true spirit of adventure?
Thank you for sharing your experiences. I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

  • Hello I'm phenomenal_fern and I would like to know a couple things.
When you go on your expeditions do you fully accept the possibility of danger and death?
Have you ever had second thoughts about your job and what was the alternative?

In your first expedition were you excited or nervous and what was the effect on your opinion of the job. And we're the expenses for the trip covered or did you have to save up?

Do you think just the right gear is necessary or does your job require skill to pursue.

  • Hi I am prodigious_moon,
In our school science class, we learned about the different ways to save a rower. I am really interested in this topic because I love reading about biology and physics. I think it is amazing how nature and technology work together to keep people safe at sea.

The information we have isn't enough for me so asking an expert like Susannah would be a dream come true.
    Here are my questions..

    1. If your life saving technology breaks in a risky situation, what is your spare plan for calling for help? Have you ever been in this situation before???

    2. Do you prefer rowing with friends or alone?

    3. When did you first start training for rowing?

    4. Have you ever been injured while rowing?

I know these aren't all about technology, but I picked these from my many questions.

    Thanks for reading ☺️
