Can technology make sports more equal, or does it only widen the gap between competitors?

Can sports tech make sports better? i think VAR can get glitched due of the cold weather and stop mid game but the referee can see it. what backs my answer up is one time the communication stopped with the linsman ans the referre and it took ages for it to start again. secondly, in the winter olympics it can freeze due to cold weather and if there is no one watching and it freezes, what will happen? `
The second answer that supports my opinion is that VAR is a waste of time and money and there is no point having it if you dont use it all the time and you need to pay for it.I think the referee should just use his own vision and not AI
My freind said if the ref had something in his eye and there was a foul they could use it but the linesman and they can even talk through a special device like a microphone i think my argument is stronger
in my opinion my opinion i dont think sports tech is good.
