Can technology make sports more equal, or does it only widen the gap between competitors?

Talent or technology?
Hello Topical Talk! I go to St Johns Catholic Primary School in Gravesend, Kent. I am here to talk to you about the winter games. I think some sports benefit from technology and some don’t.
Firstly, I will be talking about the VAR. The VAR is in football. It’s very helpful and I think it is a great invention. If something happened that they would missed, the crowd would not be happy. What if there was cheating? Nobody would want that. In case you wanted to know, VAR stands for video assisted referee. This allows a team to replay footage that the referee had missed.
My opinion on skiing is that I do not like it. Not only is it bad, it’s also really unfair. The Norwegian skiers cheated in the winter games and it was really rude and unfair. They put thread inside of their suit to make them go faster. For their punishment, they were immediately disqualified. They were charged for their damages and they faced serve consequences. It is a fair but sensible punishment.
The tennis hawk eye is very similar to VAR, it is to make choices that the referee can’t see. Despite them being similar they are slightly different. I think this type of technology is a great add to tennis. It is amazing! So fair.
In formula 1, there is a protective cover called the halo. This protects the driver from any accidents caused on the track. It has saved multiple people’s lives and there is many more lives to be saved by this. But it may not be comfortable for them. Besides, this is one of my favourites to do and it is probably the most helpful and safe. .
I think my favourite was the halo and the VAR. Skiing I did not like at all it was rude, selfish and unfair. I really wanted this to not happen and everyone could just have a nice time and be safe and happy. I have a question for you, what is your favourite? I hope you have understood my message.
Thank you so much for reading my message I really hope you understood . Here are a few more facts, the winter games started in 1924 and the team GB won 4 to 8 medals. Thank you once again!
