The Winter Games - Standpoint image 3

WINTER GAMES TALENT OR TECHNOLOGY I am here today to discuss with you about the topic of technology in competitive sports whether it is improving the standard of sports being played, or if its damaging the reputation of those games .I personally am of the opinion that the technology should be allowed in some sports but shouldn’t be allowed in others for the reasons I am about to explain to you .

I believe that VAR in football is a benefit to the sport because it allows the referee replay the round and have a decision to decide on a red flag .The VAR is a thing that records the game , therefore when the referee needs help with a decision he can then easily look back at the recording .The VAR stands for video assisted referee .With the use of VAR accuracy of calls in the game have risen from 82% to 96%.

I believe that the halo in the formula 1 is a benefit because it can save the drivers life in a crash .It also allows the driver have a smaller chance of getting injured .The halo is a metal ring that is put in the formula 1 witch is there to protect you from crashes and injuries .The halo is a life saver .

I believe that technology in the sport skiing because recently a Norwegian person has cheated by put a kind of material in his suit which gives the person an advantage to fly faster and to win .The Norwegian people have more money than others which means that the other countries don’t have enough money to buy that material called aerodynamic which makes it unfair and cheating .

Over these many reasons I hope you now understand why I agree and disagree in some different sports .Technology isn’t always good buy neither always bad .

THANK YOU FOR LISTENING
