Can technology make sports more equal, or does it only widen the gap between competitors?

TECHNOLOGY. IS IT MAKING OUR SPORT MORE EQUAL OR NOT?
In my opinion, I think technology is starting to widen the gap between athletes in different sports. My reason for my point is the difference in funding certain teams have and how they will affect the different teams.
My first sub-point to support this is how the difference in funding will affect your access to sports technology. My reason for this is that athletes that receive a higher amount of funding will have better facilities and equipment to train with rather than a team who isn't very popular and their funding is much lower than them, meaning that the disadvantaged team have to train with equipment and in facilities that are bad quality. This widens the gap between athletes because failure to acquire new technology that helps players' performance will heavily affect how they play since they don't have the same level of training as the richer teams.
My second sub-point is how some teams have better tools for injury recovery and prevention. My reason for this is that if you have less funding, you will struggle with the lack of access to elaborate recovery tools. The teams that are able to use these sophisticated tools will be able to train harder and recover from injuries faster. The reason this widens the gap is because teams with less recovery tools will be much more cautious about training and therefore, they will not be able to go to their full potential due to the risk of an injury that might take longer to heal without the tools.
Some may argue that I am wrong because they might argue that technology . However, my point stands stronger because how would you be able to obtain the technology if you are heavily underfunded or have a lack of access to getting the piece of sports equipment? All routes lead back to money and there is truly no way of attaining prestigious apparatus unless you have the economy for it.
