Can technology make sports more equal, or does it only widen the gap between competitors?

Can technology make sports more equal or does it only widen the gap?
In my opinion I think it could make events closer like the 100 metres but in other events like the 1500 metres makes it more equal . my first example is the 100 metres I don't think it really makes a difference except if you're in training, they use tech to track their speed and how fast their reaction time is, to make all that training go into their races. The 100 metres is so short that's why you need those milliseconds from training to come in races one little mistake then nine times out of ten the race is over. Meanwhile in the longer distance races for example the 1500 metres the tech is used in training as well as races, if you fall over at the start you can get back up and carry on but in the 100 metres their race is definately over. 1500 metres is much longer and more tactical.
The last six men who won the 100 metres (World Championships) has all been different, but in the women's there has been four different winners so that means men rely on techwhile women rely on talent. I also saw that between 2015 and 2019 the mens winners have been very close but as time went on the times started to spread out this means that tech has come more powerful over the years.
In the mens 1500 metres winners from the Olympics and World Championships they've all been different over sixteen races but in the women Faith Kipyegon won twelve out of sixteen finals from the same tournements so this means that we are in the same scenario as the 100 metres
Some people say that if you've got all the best equipment you have advanteges. I disagree because if you look at the Kenyans they ran barefoot on rocks for miles and they're winning most events and championships.
In my opinion, men rely on tehnology while women rely on talent. I think technology makes sports more equal with some sports while technology widen's the gap in other sports so I'm in the middle it does make a difference and it dosen't make a difference.
